endorsing artist hard luck king guitars and knuckle head strings
Coal chamber. Shock the monkey by Peter Gabriel is hilarious somehow they roped ozzy into it.

Six feet under has an album where they. Re did the entire back in black album front to back. I believe it's graveyard classics 3 I could be wrong.

Agony scene paint it black is a pretty neat take on the original.

  6. I love mudvayne's version of king of pain by the police.

Here's one - the Jeff Beck/Joss Stone version of the Screamin' Jay Hawkins classic "I Put a Spell on You" - schmokin!

(I love the Nina Simone version too)

I'm also of the mind that exactly replicating a song is stupid and pointless, to me a "cover" should be a reinterpretation or a radical rewriting of a song: (I think this is why I totally despise tribute albums)

Might was well add You Are So Beautiful to the Joe Cocker list too. It was written and originally done by Billy Preston

Jimi Hendrix' cover of Dylan's "All Along the Watchtower." That is how the song was meant to be done.

Sting's cover of Hendrix' "Little Wing" - especially for Hiram Bullock's guitar work. Another who died too young.

Quite a few of J. J. Cale's songs have been covered by many including these.

"After Midnight" and "Cocaine" by Eric Clapton
    "Bringing It Back" by Kansas
"Call Me the Breeze" and "I Got the Same Old Blues" by Lynyrd Skynyrd,

  19. RacerX's version of BOC's "Godzilla" kicks booty.

Rush did justice to quite a few of the songs they covered on the Feedback album. And there is a good cover of Skid Row covering the Rush tune "What You're Doing" that I really like.
