Song Set List Biker Bar

I would add at least one well known metal tune - Living After Midnight or Paranoid for example - something that women like or at least tolerate. I would think this would go over well with this crowd. I agree with the advice of adding a song or two that is more current and still a rocker - living La Vida Loca, Faith, some Prince, etc. Keep with poplar stuff and you will kill it.

Steppenwolf would be hard to pull off with a 3 pc, need the organ.

With all due respect, this is a biker bar we're talking about. All you need is a singer to start it and a band who can keep up with a crowd of hopefully drunk bikers.

Believe me, a faithfully note-perfect copy of the original is not necessary. Let's not over-think this.:)

Yeah... we pulled it off without the keyboards and it sounded pretty good. I know the bikers liked it. It was at a "true" biker bar. An outfit know as The Devil's Disciples... of course, the biggest, baddest biker in the bunch was named "Tiny". He also requested a Clapton tune... I asked him if some Cream (Sunshine of Your Love) would suffice... he raised his beer in acknowledgement and we killed it!

We spent the better part of a year playing clubhouses up and down the east coast for one of the big three MC’s and these were often requested songs during that time. We had a fairly large band that included a steel player, two guitar players and a utility guy who covered mandolin, banjo, dobro, fiddle, ect., so we could cover a lot of ground. We’d usually play friday and saturday and these were the songs most asked for on saturday night.

Lubricate The Death Machine - Bob Schneider
Ain’t Nothing To Me - Johnny Winter
Me And My Uncle - Dead, assorted others
Bad Little Doggie - Government Mule
Daddy Was A Preacher And Momma Was A Go Go Girl - Southern Culture On The Skids
I’m Gonna Dig Up Howlin Wolf - Mojo Nixon
Shady Grove - traditional arrangement
Blues For Blind Melon - James Mathus And His Knockdown Society
Shut It Tight - T Bone Burnett
