I grew up just South of you in the tiny little town of Red Hook NY.
Steely Dan's classic "My Old School" a staple of classic rock stations, is about Bard College and the hamlet Annondale, which is within Red Hook.
My favorite line, "....California tumbles into the sea,... That'll be the day I go back to Annondale."
