songs you HATE

Ok...so after reading this thread it just built up my already opinionated views of popular music. So...here we go...

Britney Spears - rancid, rancid garbage
Black Eyed Peas - putrid death in lyrical form
Kanye West - flat-out overrated
Nickelback - redneck generic shallow wretched premeditated crimes against humanity
All of Seether's catalogue but one song - see above ^
Saving Abel - above ^
Three Days Grace - You can transition between songs like a breeze...i.e. what a friggin' joke (example, start singing "I Hate Everything About You and then go right into singing Home...or anything else. Same beat, tempo, key...everything.)
Papa Roach - worst name ever. I wish I was the bassist in their band. Rich and never doing ****
T-Pain, Lil' Wayne, Akon, etc. - sexist, talentless, detestable swamp a$$ music
Anything that has been made famous to the masses because of really stupid things: the drum fill in "In the Air Tonight" by Genesis because of a movie,
Sweet Home Alabama because of a movie (now all the blonde ditzes hear it and screech),
The cowbell from Don't Fear the Reaper (I remember seeing that SNL skit originally like 11 years ago when I was 12...then 5 years later every idiot with an exhausted comedy routine starts whipping out that overused vat of anal juice)
New "country"...or did I mean to say pop music with Telecasters and lap steels?
Metro Station - listening is like being trapped in a tractor trailer with 14 dogs with diarrhea
3OH!3 - if you don't know them/have heard them...my God are you blessed
Welcome to the Jungle by Guns N' Roses
95% of mainstream music
Dave Matthews Band - rip-off of REAL jam bands
Everything that has ripped off Bad Company (pretty much all of rock music today)
Kid Rock and how he rips off everyone

My..brain...is...igniting. Must...stop...listing...

MWAHAHAHAHAHA...alot of my friends are hyping him up. A girl that I've had on and off crap with loves that kind of music. And that's actually the better of what she listens to. We drove to a concert last weekend and she was trying to play Lil' Wayne, Akon, and various techno and electronica bands. I told her straight up to turn that garbage off. Definitely found myself quite a bit less attracted to her after that.

Such horrible music, Akon being the worst IMO, people always use the excuse "Come on man.. listen to the lyrics..." No. I have, and the lyrics are absolute trash. All Lil Wayne raps about is how cool he thinks he is. The only rap I like is "old school", because those guys at least rapped about real problems and stuff not how "ill" he is..:scowl:

I do that to, it's pretty horrible haha ..when I find out a girl that I'm talking to has bad music taste, it bothers me.. :smug:

And actually...in response to the people who hate ALL rap/hip hop:

I know where you're coming from. But there's hope for the genre.

He was the only "hip-hop" artist on the warped tour either last year or a couple years ago...mixes just about every genre into his music. Terribly underrated...and apparently very good live. I need a passport.

Yea, I thought she was down with good stuff but then she starts the ipod shuffle and I rip that cord out.

Wonderful Christmas Time - Paul McCartney.
Horrible song.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!

Simpleeee having... a wonderful....
ARRRRGGGEGEGEGGGGG........:rollno:
Ah yes, and we are back to that magical time of year once again! Merry Xmas!

Gotta say I'm amazed that a "hate" thread has been allowed to go this long. Has there been a change in policy?

station here can't do a day without Pink Floyd,,thought i'd send them MY CD's,havent lsitened to them in years(stuck with a radio at work all day, thankfully there's a great country station that's all oldies with bluegrass, stuff like Jimmy Rodgers Woody Guthrie, not enough honky-tonk for me but ANYTHING is better than car commercials all day then`Dark side of the Moon' for the 1000,000,000,001 time:spit: wow!,,talk about anger!;)

Michael ATW, I agree with that post (the big long one), but I have a few things to add

Papa Roach-breakout song was last resort, which was just green days brain stew with some screechy guitar in between the heavy parts. Bleck

New Country- Come on, they don't even have lap steels most times

Rap just sucks. Its just like country in that it is generally a list of stuff they did the night before, but they brag about how they did it better than anyone else ever did or could. Gimme a break

Cowbell thing- Big BOC fan, that was one of their crappiest songs anyway, and I always wondered about hte cowbell long before I saw the skit. But its gettin old folks, and you ain't Christopher Walken

I always say Country is just the "white man's rap"...as exhibited by its frequent collaboration with rappers, occasionally rapping, and the fact that everyone around here that I know who likes country usually also likes rap.

Another add for me is "Margaritaville" by Jimmy Buffett. My roommate plays guitar and started playing with a guy for a "Piano-Man" type house band deal and he was practicing that. What a terrible, terrible song. It makes me think it mostly blares out of intercoms in a country club golf club house for 50-something rich closet alcoholics...all decked out in khaki Docker shorts and Hawaiian print shirts.

Also he played "Calling All Angels" by Train. What ever happened to the quality of Train's music? Everytime I listen to their first album I can't believe the decline.

I wish I had a station like yours.

Wow....where to begin......
Anything by the Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, or anyone else disney promotes
Black-Eyed Peas- just about all of their stuff you hear on the radio
Green Day-Boulevard of broken dreams, american idiot, etc.
Blink 182-ANYTHING by them

and just for good measure, can't have a thread like this without him: Pete Wentz:hiding:
