Sorry about this guys, yes I have searched and read the stickies but I am still a tad confused. So anyway...
I am set to aquire an Ashdown Superfly. It is rated at 500w into one cabinet and 250w into two (it has 2 250w digital power output stages). But heres the thing - it is rated at 2x250w at 4 ohms (so 500w into one cab at 4 ohms) and my cabinets are an ashdown 2x10 (8ohms) and a 1x15 (8 ohms).
From what I have read on talkbass, this supposedly means that because of the ohms, I will not be able to get the 500w even in one cab because the amp is 4 ohms and each cab is 8ohms. Would anyone care to clarify this for me?
