Oh and he plays with a very very light touch. Some cats just do and I understand the technique-triggering thing but I’m a bit ham-fisted to be honest. I can track to A and below all day on almost anything but that caught my eye. Having not played a C4, I’m open to the communities thoughts. I’ve rejected so much digital for various reasons and I’m kinda jaded. But hey I realize this and always endeavor to open and diligent. That’s why I’m asking. Thx

D-oh! I was having an HX Stomp day yesterday and so when I saw your post I googled "Mark Neary HX Stomp" and got nothing, so I asked the question! Yep, come across him before and looking forward to trying out some off his presets - my C4 is on order but won't be shipped until after lockdown is finished here - hopefully in a couple of weeks.

I'll say that practice time with the C4 has taught me a lot about a) how to play when trying to cleanly trigger another instrument, which it is, and b) how to play with better technique, period. Also, the input control on it is maybe what separates weed from lawn where accuracy potential is concerned; you can tailor every patch you make or grab from the community to fit your bass and playing style (inasmuch as you're willing to level up your string muting!). It takes work but it's work that pays off with dividends.

It takes patience getting thru the initial learning curve since you'll see presets that SHOULD work but are way too loud or don't trigger right, and that's the stuff where once you know your settings, you can create or tweak anything and quickly have it where it sounds and responds to you how you want. Which is suuuuuper fun

Real Soon thank you man, your so right and this is exactly the kind of information I need to start with a good footing. I’ll take your advice and make, step one, gaining a working understanding of the relationships you spoke about and their interplay in regard to successful deployment of this instrument.

Hey BNZ! Sorry to here you’re locked out for now in New Zealand. You could be shedding on this pedal with the down time.
We’ve got another solid month of Stay-At-Home here in LA California but probably not as strict. We’ll see how that works out. I’ve got a C4 due to arrive this coming Tuesday gratefully. It will be good to turn my attention to it.

New patches added and I've found a way to get the sequencer pitches to trigger the filters on each note. These are clock-synced but there seems to be a bug in getting clock to match that of Ableton. (@rsmith601 I've emailed Jesse about it.)

For these patches, you'll need to plug output 2 into input 2.

What do you mean? Do you mean it jumps straight to the patch you have just written to the pedal? Doesn't sound problematic to me.

Ok. Go to the community section. I see both C4 and IF patches. C4 patches burn to Circle, Tri, Square (User preset 1-3), then theres Alt C,T,S for user presets 4-6) and then the rest up till the max.

Same process for IF on the same community page but instead of Cirle Tri, Square it says Tron Dump and Thrust, and Alt Tron Dump Thrust. Selecting any of those does nothing.

Sounds to me like you might have a Spectrum editor window open.

Make sure the tab at the top of your editor window says C4 synth and that your pedal is connected to your computer via USB.

Locate a Spectrum preset in the cloud, click the burn icon. You should then see a box pop up with your C4 preset location and the first six have circle, square, triangle, circle alt, square alt and triangle alt. Click any of the 128 slots and hit save.

The button is totally irrelevant when burning or loading the patches via the editor.

I posted a question about this a couple weeks ago in the main Source Audio Sorcerers thread (here) and never heard anything... When I select the compatibility box, only C4 patches are showing up on the desktop editor. I ported Graham's Koolaid Man Fat Filter patch to the Spectrum, and just scrolling back in all the community patches, the C4 and Spectrum patches are right next to each other (currently on page of the feed). But if I search for C4 compatible patches, it doesn't show up

Anyone else having this issue?
