Source Audio OFD

The OFD is brilliant with the midi hub... because it is so versatile even without 128 presets, the hub puts the OFD in another realm in my opinion. I could say this with all the soundblox line but if you want virtually an endless number of dirt tones get a midi hub and a controller. You'd be set forever. Seriously.

Who knows, maybe we could make a firmware option for the OFD+Hub to boost the output level even higher someday ;)

There's no where in BC to get one that I know of. I got mine from Cosmo Music in Ontario.

I agree with Andrew...running a clean boost before (or after) it is very satisfying.....and even if the sounds are not 100% like my pedals (the pedals are warmer sounding somehow but it could be I haven't perfected my tweaking yet so user error) it's close enough and the noise gate is just an added bonus....

If you take any of these classic pedals and run them with a really good noise gate, eq and clean blend I'm sure you'd get results you'd like better in some way from the pedals on their own, and the OFD gives you those options in one box.

The one thing I wish the OFD had differently is more clean volume on tap. I find running it with a clean boost gives me the most satisfying results.

Favorite setting on OFD so far is:
Crunch tube
Drive: 9:30-10:00
Dry/wet: 9:30
Treble: 1:00
Mid: 2:30
Bass: 1:00
Output boosted from bypass level, I like overdrive boosted over my clean signal.

Really nice grind, and smooth drive sound. Id use this as a clean tone.

So I finally got to use my OFD at LOUD volumes. My concerns of it not having enough output level, which you all told me that it had enough, are now silenced. The OFD RIPPED! Sounded great. I was been switching my B7K, XD1 and submarine off and on during songs to see what the pedal sounded like "clean". Sounded wonderful any way I put it. I'm mainly using it for the TS9000 and the crunch tube. I still haven't found a setting I'm set on on either, lots o tweakin in the mix was going on. But it most def has exceeded my expectations. I made land changes after tonight. I realized I had too much tone shaping tools on my board so I took off the XD1, put my hardwire delay back on as well as my ODB3. I put the ODB3 in the same loop as the OFD so it'll be my dirty boost when I need it. It also gives me more umfp when needed in certain parts. I'll have to revisit the XD1, again, after I spend more time with it alone. I love me some tone shaping tools but it was overkill on my board. I think I may just be happy with what I have going on on my board for a while. And the OFD is most def staying. Really happy I decided to grab one and put it to use.

Can you explain what the Midi hub does and what extra features it unlocks?

It allows you to store an extra 128 presets for the OFD. It allows you to extract and share your OFD presets with other users. It gives you full MIDI control of the OFD. And, it connects to other SB2 pedals from Source Audio to offer up all of this stuff.

I understand what the Hub does, but I don't understand how to use it to pull up your presets while you're playing. It seems like you need a pedal of some sort to pull them up?
