I have to say, maybe. When I was at home, there seemed to have been plenty. But when I played that one show, which I have to remind y'all that it was a doozy of a show with the bad sound and all, it seemed to me that the output knob didn't quite put out as much output as, let's take my OCD for instance, my OCD. If I had my gain and tone around 2 o'clock, if the level got much past 9 o'clock it is insanely loud. The OFD doesn't seem to do that. It's like it's missing a boost or something of the sort. Maybe I'm wrong. But I have to say that the output doesn't act like most other levels or outputs on other dirts. Not to say it's bad or wrong, but that's the way it seems to me anyway. But the OFD offers A TON more than your regular OD/dist stomp.

Gotta say I consider the Rat Tail the ultimate version of a RAT for bass but the OFD is equal to it, with only a tad different flavor. Apples and oranges of best bass RATs for me.



You can cop a pseudo close Diabolik sound from the OFD but imo the Diabolik has a bit more natural grunt and wildness to it's personality. Same block close.



Couldn't get it close enough to ho7's turbo charged Depth Charge to be satisfying. Same city but don't know each other close.



No matter the setting on the OFD, running it with a Fuzzrocious Heliotropic is hella fun.



Best noise gate for bass I've ever heard in a pedal.

Can you share the settings on the ofd where you were getting these at. I know it is dependent on the setting on the diabolik and RT, but it is a good starting point.

What i was referring to is the overall volume output, not the clean blended volume.
I'm not saying it's too quiet in general, but it is for my optimal needs.

The OFD's master volume maxed is the same as the volume on my other two dirt boxes at about noon.

They don't stay the same unless you've previously set and saved them to be the same.

I kinda can't unfortunately. We tweaked the OFD in to tone match each pedal as best we could to see how closely it matched and once we felt it was there or as close as it'd go we just moved on without noting the setting.

I may have the last pedal we tweaked it against saved though.

Despite it having a lot of functions, I find the OFD to be pretty intuitive so I wasn't worried about saving settings else I lose them forever.

Not sure if we're on the same page- I mean let's say I set the bass frequencies to be boosted, and then I switch from big pi to el raton. In the sound I'm now hearing (el raton) is the bass still boosted?

Essentially I'm wondering this because I suspect I might like more or less the same EQ, blend and gate settings regardless of which distortion I'm using, and am thinking about switching from sound to sound mainly via the 12 position center switch rather than the two presets.

Ah, I thought you meant switching channels.

I think the answer is yes besides any built in eq boost/cut to the selected pedal, but I'll defer to someone who knows for sure.
