Source Audio SB2 MIDI Hub

Hey rsmith601, sorry to pressure, I have already sent an e-mail tu the support about this but I'm in a bit of a hurry to make a decision so I really need to know if you have any info about sending a HUB to Europe.

So I have about 8 presets with my Hub setup so far. I just got a new Midi controller, a Decibal Eleven Switch Dr., and I wanted to swap it into the setup for the MidiMouse I've been using. Will I have to create new presets? My understanding is that the Hub needs a contoller to save the scenes so I should be ok as long as I have a controller to assign the scenes. Am I correct?

That is what I think, but I want to check with others to be sure. The presets are stored in the Hub and is only getting program changes from the MIDI mouse.
Ordered mine last night! I'm pretty stoked to start assigning presets to my one control oc10. I just have an OFD at the moment but I'm ok with that.. that'll be enough to start.
The Scenes are saved on the Hub, the MIDI Controller is only to send MIDI PC to tell the Hub to change from Scene to Scene.
Short story: you're good, plug-n-play.
Let us know if it doesn't work for some reason.

My and Gastric's thoughts are confirmed. See this from Jon: "You won't have to create new, or redo any presets. Any MIDI controller will work, and can be switched out at any time. Whatever Program Change message the scene was saved to with the MIDI Mouse, will be the same with another MIDI foot-switch."
rsmith - Here's a ridiculous question: when is the HUB 2.0 coming out?
I know, I know...too soon! But I'm curious if you guys have even started any R&D for the 2.0? Design/interface ideas? I'm pretty stoked on the HUB, but I know if I get it and a separate midi controller, SA will come out with a combined hub/midi controller that I'll have to have...

It will be a while. No work has gone into it other than some lunch conversations (we lunch as a team each day). I would guess that we are 9 month minimum....perhaps 1 year.
Is it possible to daisy chain more than one SB2 pedal off one output on the HUB? and if so, will they still retain independence as far as scene saving and receiving expression control?
Or, similarly, can you chain more than one HUB using the Midi Thru on one to connect the other?
I'm thinking about the future, when more SB2 pedals are released and someone may have more than 5 on a board.
Also, I put this in the suggestions thread, but it may apply here, too. How about a MIDI controlled true-bypass loop that uses the SA Multi-function port? It could connect to the Hub and it's settings could be saved as part of a scene. It would allow the addition of non-midi pedals to the chain.
A single loop would be useful. A double or triple loop strip, with the ability to daisy chain, would be excellent.

You can't daisy chain the pedals for use with the hub, pretty sure the daisy chain only works with the HH (or potentially the expression input on the hub might be accordingly be able to chain, but the scenes would not work). In the hub software, you assign each output to the type of pedal it's connected to (it auto detects this, actually).
You can definitely use two hub's though using the thru port. Each time you save a scene, you'll just need to do it on both hubs and make sure they are each assigned to the same channel.

No problems at all. Literally plug and play!!! My board is actually looking nice and neat. I have everything where it needs to be and the ability to get the sounds I need with one tap of the switch.
Tomorrow I hook up the Voicelive2 and see if I can do what I want to with it. If everything goes well I'll be singing the praises of Source Audio and Decibel Elevens' Switch Dr.!!!
I got the midi hub today and it's really great.. works well with the OFD, but I'm having trouble getting it to work with my dimension reverb. I updated firmware and everything, but I think it's kind of freaking the reverb out.. I can't select presets 1 and 2 while the hub is connected? And it won't save to a patch if I turn the power off on the pedalboard. The OFD works great, no lag and saves perfectly on each preset!

I just fixed a bug related to that on the reverb. The new firmware files are included in the latest .zip for the Hub Manager on our download page:

Also, hub firmware 1.06 is included in the zip. The most recent firmware version for the reverb is 3.
Make sure you have all of the latest files and that should take care of it. Let us know if you have any more trouble!
That seemed to work, thanks! I did notice that the reverb version is still 1, it works now though. But it's not version 3... just letting you know, not trying to be picky. Saved a bunch of presets then unplugged the board and plugged it back in and BINGO, works great now. All presets saved to their patches!
