Thanks guys that's very helpful. I'm a bit torn because I can see the Manta being really useful (indeed I've just ordered one) but while the patch memory on the Hub would be great, I don't know if I can justify the expense or pedalboard space for that and a MIDI controller if I only have one pedal it can serve.

Can you explain in a little more detail what you would like the Hub/MIDI controller setup to do and why it won't do that?
 
I was mostly thinking it would be nice if I could use it to send a MIDI clock out to whatever else is downstream that might like a clock, and then thought it would be really useful if it could pass on program changes to a multi like an H9, perhaps. But I can understand why it won't do that.

Well if:

(1) Your MIDI clock and program changes are coming from something prior to your Hub
(2) You can set the Hub to "MIDI Thru" because you don't need the Hub to output HH3/expression to 3rd party pedals (they'll still go to the Hub-connected SB2 pedals)
(3) Your 3rd party pedals can be on the same MIDI channel as the Hub

Then you can still do what you're talking about.

I got the EQ, hub, reverb, OFD and manta today (have a couple more coming). Maybe I am blind and its in the manual somewhere, but I can't find it.

Why does the Med (Midi) light on the OFD turn red as soon as I open the Hub Manager, then stay that way until I unplug the power from the OFD and plug it back in?

Mine does that as well. I think it shows that it's being controlled via midi (hub)

My OFD, Manta, and Dimension do the same. To let you know it is connected to the Hub.
 
All are using the latest available from the hub software I got off the website, though I actually think one of them went DOWN a version from that.

Is there a place to download the firmware updates directly, rather than from the directory the hub software is installed in?

Manta Firmware Version 8 from the Dropbox folder that @ncabral posted earlier did not work for me---pedal was not responding to the Hub Manager or 3rd Party MIDI. I had to reset it to Version 6, which fixed the problem. The mix issue on the Bass OFD, however, was resolved.

Also, is there any reason my Hub Manager would not be reading the scenes on my Hub Manager? The Hub Manager only showed empty scenes, even though there were clearly scenes on my Hub. Is there some way I can get it to read the Hub? Is it possible I did something in the wrong order?

Now that you mention, my Manta also had some weird behavior yesterday (first time I played after update) it was like it was not responding to the HH ring. I just assumed I messed up the configs or calibration or something but will check again tomorrow.
 
I've got a question about the new expression pedal SA is putting out - sorry if it's been answered, but I looked and couldn't find it.

What is the max resistance sweep that can be dialed into the TRS outs? I'm looking for a 100K lin expression pedal - I can probably cobble one together, but something nicer and versatile would be good to have.

In the current design, the three expression outputs are 10k, 10k, and 50k. The taper can be adjusted between linear and logarithmic using the user interface built into the hardware.

Based on our research, 10k is the most universal option and works with the most third-party equipment, but there are some pedals that work better with 50k, so that's how we arrived at this decision.

In the interest of future-proofing the design, the circuit board that contains the pots and switches is attached to the main board with a snap connector, which makes it easy to swap out - no soldering required. So, if we find that there is a demand for different values (like 100k), we could potentially make other replacement boards available, and the boards could be swapped using nothing more than a screwdriver.

That's a really great and forward-thinking design feature! I approve whole-heartedly!

Unrelated to this, I would love to hear your comments on my Manta Firmware 8 and Hub Manager issues from above.
