Source Audio Sorcerers Society (S.A.S.S) Part 3

Hey. Was there an updated timeline for the Aftershock and the Soleman?
OMG.......NAMM is over. NAMM is such a marathon from early January to the end of the month. The good news is that Source Audio was a big hit, especially Nemesis.

So, Aftershock should be 3 weeks out. We are getting very close.

Soleman is right after that. We have them built, but Brett and Jesse need to get the firmware up to snuff. 6-8 weeks?

Thanks to all of you for your support. It looks like 2016 is the year of Source Audio....finally!!! After ten years. Very exciting. We would be nowhere without SASS. Thank you.

Any estimates on Neuro app for Android? Thanks for releasing the One series, all of my pedals are incredibly fun and useful! My Nemesis is making ALL of my guitarist buddies jealous.

That totally rocks! Last question, I'm pretty sure the Aftershock is going to be around the same price as the other One series stuff, about how much is the Soleman gonna street for? I've got basses coming right around that 6-8 week mark, so I'd love to know how much to set aside for this baby...

Thanks for all the hard work and for all the kick@$$ stuff you guys come up with! You guys make playing bass a lot more fun!!:thumbsup::bassist::bassist:

... Anyone knows...? Maybe @rsmith601? A simple no will also help (and will not make me too sad, I'm still excited to have it (soon))

Thanks!

In the 1+ year old demo video for the Solemate, it is shown controlling DAW software with USB over midi so I think the short answer to your question is yes, assuming that they maintain the functionality of that original demo.

I hope Source Audio didn't forget about the Neuro Loop Switcher from 2015 as well... Please let it see the light of day soon! [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

Would be awesome to be able to use the Soleman, Hub, and NLS to add other non-SA pedals in a scene... Just put the ins and outs on the box in such a way that little straight couplers can daisy chain the NLS's together side-to-side very compact-like :)

...or publish the protocol so I can make my own :)

Added an SA dual expression pedal last week.

Puts me at HH3, BEF Pro, and an SA DE. It's so awesome to have a virtually limitless-toned wah pedal, without needing to make extra room.

NAMM was awesome. I ran by the SA booth twice, both times everyone around seemed mesmerized by the Nemesis. I got to watch Nathan jam for a good 10 minutes just going through different settings. Such a cool pedal.

It was great to finally meet all the guys from Source Audio as well. Great team with great attitudes.

The usefulness of the NLS will kinda depend on how it integrates. If each NLS takes 1 port of your 5-port hub, it gets tricky. Is there a plan for a larger hub or a way to daisy-chain hubs? You could use 2 hubs on different MIDI channels programmed separately, but that's not really a scene anymore. It's 2 scenes and requires a more complex/expensive controller than a MidiMouse-type. The Soleman will do it, but it puts out folks who want a simple interface.

New hub manager software would be cool. Just sayin'.

Hi all,
Sorry for my delay in responding, but I am now just on a flight back to Boston from LA. Thank you TB folks who came to say hi at NAMM!

Now that NAMM is over we can focus on Aftershock, Soleman, the Neuro loop switch, etc.

I want to point out that all One Series pedals give you a Neuro Loop Switch for free, if you are in mono. this has the added benefit of not needing to use up a Hub port for such a simple function.

As for using 2 Hubs, I think you can put them on the same MIDI channel and scenes will load up fine. The only thing is that you would need to push the save button twice. I could be wrong about this, but I will check.

The Android app is really almost there. I was really using it well yesterday at the show.

I was thinking on using the Aftershock for signal routing also, one input would split into hi and low outputs on some situations, on mono full-range output for others and finally on dual mono full-range output for others. This potentially means I will need one less box on my board.

I suppose it does ... nice bonus, a neuro loop switch without adding any hardware :) ... This is starting to look to me like a very attractive system (Haven't bought in yet) ... just waiting for the solemate to complete the picture really :)
