Source Audio Sorcerers Society (S.A.S.S) Part 3

Hey guys,I'm having some issues with nemesis MIDI. I used the neuro app to change the midi channel to channel 4 and the nemesis does not reply to the PC messages. The MIDI line is working because I have the hub on channel 1 responds ok and also the M9 and everything is in parallel

The usual problem is the hub not passing thru, but you said your MIDI is running parallel so that shouldn't apply. Do other MIDI channels work to the Nemesis? Have you tried a MIDI monitor on that cable to be sure the messages are getting there?

Our company strategy is to make reasonably priced, high quality digital pedals. The only way to pull this off is selling more units than the boutique companies which are selling $250+ pedals. Yes, we need to have guitar players in our audience to make this happen. The OFD guitar version was not a success. LA Lady and Kingmaker have solved that! With Aftershock we are clearly as committed to the bass community as ever too. The Dimension is one of the best reverb pedals ever that did not sell well. We see this as an opportunity that a One Series version can unlock. Manta, on the other hand, has done very well.

Also make sure that 4 is not actually 3. Note that the list of channels in the app starts at 1 and not 0.

My line is controller into the HUB then thru to MIDI split and parallel to M9, Nemesis and EQ. M9 and EQ work ok.
I'll have to double check the channel numbering issue on the controller and Nemesis

This.

If you can, place the Hub at the end of a chain (don't use the Thru) and if you send batches of program changes then it's also best to send the Hub's PC first.

Just got a hub finally to go with my Reflex, Hot hand, Manta, Dimensions, After Shock and Nemesis. I also have a Roland Sy 300, Future Impact and two H9s. I dont know poopie about midi. Setting this all up is already giving me a headache. Probably gonna need some help over the next few days.

Do you have a board pic? We are like board bros! I have 7/10 items that you mentioned, 8/10 if we cheat and count the OFD and Aftershock as the same.

The Sub out of the Sy 300 goes to The Manta>Broughton HPF/LPF>Dimensions>MircoThump (mounted under the board).

The Main outs of the Sy 300 goes to a Fdeck (mounted under)> Aftershock>Xerograph Deluxe>H9#1(Begin Stereo Chain)>Nemesis>H9#2>Infinity looper

Infinity too! Mine is in my signature. I would say you easily have the board most similar to mine.

Sure, I just can't promise I'm going to give you any good answers! I will say that one of the toughest things is that each unit (SY-300, Future Impact, Eventide, Source Audio, Infinity) seems to take a different approach in how the MIDI is implemented practically, even if it's all using standard MIDI at some level. I program in MIDI Designer, that's the way I've been able to unify them.
