This might be an obvious question, but I'm new to SA stuff. I am definitely planning on getting the C4, and I would like to be able to save presets and toggle through them with a footswitch. Would the Neurohub and the Soleman together be the best way to do this? Or could I just buy the standalone footswitch to toggle through presets, instead of the Soleman? Thanks!

You can use another midi footswitch with the Neurohub and I believe Disaster Area is working on several solutions that may be simpler and more affordable than the Soleman.

Question for the SA team: while it has been previously stated that the C4/Spectrum includes the Manta functionality, the control set is somewhat different. For those of us that currently use the Manta, will we be able to easily replicate our Manta presets on the C4/Spectrum?

The Soleman is pretty happening when you get into it. The macros are easy and super useful. All together the Source Audio ecosystem is phenomenal.

The C4 has the Manta filters but expanded distortion and envelopes. Compatibility is difficult, if not impossible. Getting the same sound is likely and I suspect some presets will cover that.

I am in the same boat as I will be selling other things to fund my SA synth set up so the cheaper I can get a working system the better. I am looking for something that will give me access to the few SA pedals I will have as well as possibly my Zoom pedals and that is what attracts me to the Disaster Audio line of midi controllers.

I used a Disaster Area DMC2+ for several years with my SA pedals/hub. Worked great, built very well and smaller than the Midi Mouse. Highly recommend their stuff.

Another possible obvious question to those who have other Source Audio gear....but can I run the input/outputs on the C4 so that input1 -> output1 is unaffected, but input 2-> output 2 is affected? That may sound odd, but here's my scenario:

I'm looking at getting a delay pedal (after I buy the C4, of course) that has its own effects loop that's only within the delay path. I'd like to use some modulation in it, but I obviously still want to be able to use the C4 on it's own. It would look like this:

Bass -> C4 In1 -> C4 Out1 (clean) -> Delay In -> Delay TRS Out -> C4 In2 -> [C4 stuff] -> C4 Out2 -> Delay TRS In -> Delay Out

Then I could have some presets where only in/out 2 is affected (so that my clean signal passes through everything else and to my delay), and some presets where I get the normal synth stuff I want from in/out 1.

I hope some of that made sense....

Starting to get fed up with my ZOOM MS70CDR. It’s really my amp, which is sensitive to line noise/interference (though I’m not sure if it’s the amp or the cab)

Why is that in here? Because the Spectrum could replace the octaver and envelope, and I could go back to a BOSS BC-1x for a compressor. But that kicks my DOD Boneshaker off the board.

So my question is, where do the distortion blocks on the Spectrum fit in? Are they only on the filters or can I isolate them for some straight up distortion?

You could create a voice that is distortion only. Just turn the depth on the filter to zero. Don't quote me on this, but I think I am right.

I know the TGPers are giving you guff, but thanks for answering each and every question and concern on both forums (and I suspect more) to the best of your ability. Personally, I’m not a early adopter and will wait until the official release. But I’m very excited.
