Neuro App question: it seems as if the C4's factory presets can't be accessed via the Neuro App's "Factory" preset menu. (FWIW, the factory presets for my Aftershock are there as expected). Is there a reason for that? And, more importantly, is there a place or way to find the C4's factory presets without doing a factory reset? Thanks!

Hopefully we can give the SA team enough detail to pinpoint the issues and fix it on their end. I have a feeling that with all the units being released something somewhere in Neuro is messed up.

It is not clear to us that there is the same value in the C4 of having factory presets such as the other pedals. It is a different animal.
Nathan, Jesse, and Jeff have all posted stuff that you can find in the community presets. Nathannavarro, thymecop, sourceaudio_official are the user names for each.

For Disaster Area users, got this from their tech support,
“Hi there John - we’re wrapping up a firmware update and an instructional video today, so they should both be available tomorrow.

For the time being you’ll need the latest beta:

Set DevA = Alexander

USB = HOST

Connect the gHOST Adapter to the DMC.micro and then connect it to the C4 using the correct USB cable. Power both devices off then back on, and you should now be able to use the P or A mode to step through the presets on your C4.

We’ll have more complete support with the firmware release tomorrow, but I’m sure you’re itching to get going right away!

I too had to stop. I went and wiped my pedal clean after the first few days of binge burning. I kept a bunch in my Neuro Library but at some point I had to stop and teach myself how to make my own sounds.

Yes, it is a special cable. You can get it from DAD with the DMC Micro

No, you need a gHost adapter, and you can get one from DA.

I think I have that cable after I googled it a picture was on the DA site..I bought one to download sounds with TC Electronics Toneprints. It looks like the same one.

At the very least, both ends are USB mini type-B, with an adapter to make that happen. Which is an uncommon USB cable type. Does your cable have the same connector on both ends? I don't know if there are any other differences with DMC's cables.

I'm pretty sure the TC cable is Type A on one end, mini Type-B on the other... Much more common, but unfortunately not what you need in this case.

Yeah, the DMC host-mode stuff seems to be a bit different. I haven't used it personally. Regular MIDI more or less makes sense to me though!

Yeah I'm confident once I actually sit down and hook up my own MIDI system it will click immediately.

I think it's just option paralysis that makes it seem so much more intimidating or inaccessible to me.
I've finally decided on Hub, Soleman, and Reflex for my needs but it took a lot of homework.
Especially for those looking to work with non Source Audio peripherals I think some sort of start-up guide that shows the simplest implementation, the DMC Micro, all the way to more complex implementation like DAW configurations etc. would be really valuable.

These pedals are so simple for what they are but once you start looking for Limits you see just how much potential there is if you're willing to work for it.

I contacted DA about this last week. I ended up using a USB A (male) to USB mini B (male) cable I had lying around to connect C4 to computer, and ordering a USB host adapter USB A (female) to USB mini B (male) on ebay to connect this cable to the DA DMC4 I have coming. Here's the response from DA:

Hi there! You should be able to use a good quality USB host adapter and the correct cabling. Make sure you update the DMC to the latest firmware version, attached:

Dropbox - DMC_3XL_Gen3_151b.BETA.bin - Simplify your life

Firmware tools are here: disasterareadesigns.com/files

Once you update you’ll need to set your A device to CBA, at least until we get a working driver for the C4 in the upcoming v1.60. Set USB = HOST, connect the “host” end of the dongle to the DMC and the “device” end to the C4 and you should be good.
