The DMC's are MIDIot proof and I can prove it because mine works. There is no midi programming required at all . Just go into setup as described in the manual set the DevA to Chase Bliss on A then save and make sure your C4 is set to midi channel 1 that is it and it is all explained in the manual . And you have to update the DMC before before you it will work with the C4 but that is simple too. Although I screwed it up the first time . If I try and choose Neuro Desktop to be the default, it's grayed out, so I can't. Am I missing something here?

It looks like your OS is trying to open the file as soon as it downloads and is not understanding the .pre file extension of the Neuro presets(?)
You can't just download a file to a folder on your desktop (or any folder anywhere) and import the preset file from the Neuro app?

This is what I normally have to do with files like this. I select "show in folder" when it's downloading and usually get it to open from there.

Yeah!!!
Just saw that Thomann has sent me the C4 on saturday. It says that it should be here on thursday but from my experience with Thomann deliveries I should receive it on wednesday.
Can´t wait to get my hands on it.
Now I can place my SA BEF Pro for sale to fund a new bass.

Exactly.
One thing I've noticed as well, that sometimes I have to IMPORT the file multiple times for it to properly save as a preset on the pedal.
I will hit import and then save, the name of the preset will disappear and it will say it is an empty slot. I import the ".pre" file a second time in the same slot and save, and it stores properly.

Truthfully, I have not checked hardware/software versions to see if I'm at the latest version for everything, perhaps this is a bug with the older version(?)
Just a slight heads up if anyone was experiencing this as well.

I've been having the same issues. It's like, I'll burn a community preset to my C4, then I'll plug it in to the Editor, and it comes up as "user preset" on the right side of the screen for me. And it only seems to do it for one set of presets or the other. But then I've updated firmware on both the pedal and Editor a few times now since I got it. So that could have something to do with it possibly. Not sure.


I honestly just figured it was kinks that SA will work out in time. I'm sure they're sorta runnin like crazy to get the Spectrum up and out too so it's stuff like this and the fact that the C4 really isn't able perfectly smoothly with the existing ecosystem atm isn't a big deal to me. I know they'll fix it all in good time.

Why are you importing presets? When you click on one it loads to the pedal automatically. Right?

Nice, when I ordered it there, it said it would be in stock within 2 to 5 days. Now it says 5 to 6 weeks on the item page. Hoping it will be asap.

Originally, I misunderstood and assumed that was the proper way of loading presets to the pedal.
Eventually (after realizing that I was wrong), I saw it as a decent way to save my favorite presets to a local folder that I could tweak and load later since I would be limited to 6 active spots on the pedal (until I break down and buy one of the above mentioned controllers).

Yes, my way is unnecessary and the presets do load right away when I click on them as designed. ;)

In the meantime, try closing the Neuro Desktop Editor and restarting your computer. Any progress? If not, would you please email us with your OS version?

So I was playing around editing a downloaded patch for the first time. I haven't had to read the manual so sorry if this a dumb question.

When I change a patch paramater in desktop Neuro, it seems like it is immediately changed in my library (as opposed to having to save my edits or being able to compare saved vs edited). Is this true or am I missing something?

I don't think anything should be overwriting unless you SAVE while you are tweaking.
An asterisk appears after the preset name (when you change parameters) indicating there was a change to how the preset was originally saved. If you hit SAVE, the asterisk disappears and that is now the new parameters for your preset.
I can tweak knobs all day and as long as I don't hit SAVE, I can click away and back on the preset and it will have returned to its original parameters.

Now, that is speaking from having the pedal set to STANDARD or PRESET mode. I have not messed around with WYSIWYG mode. Perhaps that responds differently with tweaking presets on the desktop Neuro?

I have this same issue often, I haven't figured it out. I have also had presets show the correct name, but play the sound from another preset.

With this, I have also had presets not save after unplugging from the desktop.
