Integrating the C4 editor into the Hub editor has not been done. Yes, we are working on it, but its not an easy step. We did not think we should delay the release of the C4 because of this.

The Hub and C4 won't interact at all via the Neuro editor yet. Any programming with the hub would have to be with other pedals that are compatible. All the hub can do right now for C4 is pass MIDI messages, which doesn't require any programming (besides making sure they're on the same MIDI channel).

Has anyone been able to get a good Boss Dimension sound out of the Gemini/another SA modulation pedal? I want to add a C4 to my board, and I could make room by replacing my MD500 with a C4, mod pedal, and a Neuro hub. I would just hate to lose the MD's Dimension algorithm in the process, as it's one of my most frequently-used sounds.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the clarification and I’m sorry if it’s been covered already. I’ll wait patiently as I’m sure you guys will nail it down eventually. And I’m glad y’all didn’t wait till you got the C4 to interact with the editor to release it. Def not a big deal to me. I’m happier to have the pedal on my board at this point :)

There is a super sub synth or something like that in the community presets. It’s not a meatbox but it’s in the same realm sorta. I’ll be curious to see what you come up with on your ventures!

Just remember the HXFX can control the C4 with the hub and midi. You just have to program the C4 separately.

Yeah I’m gettin there haha by the time I’ve had time to sit down with it, I’ve been too tired to focus on messing with midi. Something I’ve never messed with before. I’ve had more fun playing the pedal and loading in community presets. Not much thinking involved there haha

I'll get you started, at least on the HXFX. This applies specifically to the C4 and Hub. See photos.

In my case I programmed individual switches to one command each. But you could assign the same commands to a preset (or instant) recall. The basics:
  • MIDI CC Command
  • MIDI Channel 1 (or whatever channel you've set Hub & C4 to)
  • CC# 104 for pedal engage (#103 for disengage)
  • Value # whatever preset you want to turn on/off. Just remember that the Value # is always 1 less than the Preset number. So preset 1 is value 0, preset 2 is value 1, etc.

Man you guys can make a techno-boob like me feel even more dumb.Having never touched a computer till my retirement I'm trying hard to play catch up and have been pouring over the manual.My biggest accomplishment was learning to program my old Dr.Rhythm drum machine.I wish some video tutorials would reach YouTube as seeing some things I'm reading in the manual would help.I envy you tech savvy guys.

Man this thing (C4) is just...WOW! Still haven’t done anything but set up community patches to suit my needs (and not on the editor, just on the pedal!), but I already have a badass Octaver, Filter and a Filter plus Octaver saved to my library. Plus some cool vintage synth sounds that I may or not ever use, but man are they inspiring! Tracking is nearly flawless, and setting and saving patches is a breeze! I’ve been waiting for this pedal for a long, long time!
Thanks SA! Now off to get the DMC to work! Any tips?

Thanks so much man!!! This will most def help me. This is what I was going to struggle with the most was finding my way on the C4. I knew it would be easy once I wrapped my head around it but the starting point was what I was missing. So thank you much for this!

hahaha this is how my floor looked yesterday and this morning. Only way worse cause I had three SA devices hooked up to my computer at once. It was a total mess.

I’d think you could set your initial start point by using CC103 xxx which would load preset xxx in bypass mode. Then assign increment/decrement to a CC number for your choosing in the MIDI device mapping menu of the Nuro desktop. Therefore you start with a preset # loaded (in bypass because of CC103 instead of 104) and can scroll from there.

But I think you might be flying blind if you lost count of how many times you tapped the button.

I set my Soleman up with decrement(button 1), increment (button 2), CC104 69 (button 3 ON), cc104 28 (button 3 OFF), CC104 7 (button 4 ON), CC104 99 (button 4 OFF). The CC’s load starting presets then I scroll with the left 2 buttons. Used it at band practice yesterday, worked well for checking everything out but at one point we ended up in a jam and I couldn’t get out of the preset I was on because I had no idea what the next one was (and whether it was appropriate for the moment).
At that point I just scrolled panels and found one I had set up and short named before.
