Is there any way, in future updates to the mobile app, that you could see the preset you are on by having a smart phone hooked up as well as a midi pedal (DMC Micro for instance)? That way, you could use a device such as the Micro to change presets, and that preset would show up in real time on your phone. Does that make sense?

Possible, but difficult. Not soon.

Just thought I'd throw it out there. Would be a cool feature, and make using a device like the Micro infinitely easier.

Hey I didn't see anyone answer this one, how do I save a preset on the C4 after I've tweaked it?

On the Aftershock, I just hold down the footswtich and the LED blinks and it's saved. On the C4 though, I hold the fs and it doesn't do anything. How do I save a preset after I've burned it onto the pedal and have tweaked it to where I like it??

Are you asking about this after tweaking the preset before you burn it to the device (from the cloud/community)? If so, I don't think it can be saved after making edits in the cloud prior to being burned.

Once I have a preset on my device, if you make adjustments and want to keep them, click "Save". From here, I will usually export the file to my computer so that I have a hard copy of the preset the way that I want it.

Aftershock ships in preset mode. C4 does not. You can change this. Worth reading this section of the manual. You can change if you want.

In that case, after you have made adjustments, click "save" this will lock those settings for the preset.

As I was saying earlier, once I have continued to make adjustments, saving, and finally have the preset where I want it, I will then "export" the preset so that I have a hard copy saved on my computer.

So I'd have to plugged into the Nuero app to save said preset post tweaking?

I understand that being plugged into the app is something you'd already be doing since I just loaded a community preset in to the C4. Is there a way to do it you aren't plugged into the app at the time though?

To make adjustments on the preset without being plugged in, you will want to read about the three "settings" your pedal can be in. Default, preset, wysiwyg (something like that)

I'm using the middle one, so I can make adjustments to a preset using the knobs on the pedal. If I want to save those adjustments, I hold down the footswitch for about 4 seconds until the light stops blinking. This indicates that my new settings are saved.

Ok, that's what I was looking for I think. I think I only thought there was 2 ways to set the pedal. As in WYSIWYG or preset mode. I bet that's what my issue is! As @rsmith601 was possibly eluding to Thanks guys!

We put all of these modes and options into the pedal so it will work as you want it to work. In our view, the C4 and Aftershock are kind of different experiences and should not be the same out of the box.

Yes, you're completely correct and have executed that point excellently IMO. Trying to familiarize myself with both these pedals at the same time is quite different on the software side. Which is understandable too. I just need to learn myself on how to better utilize the tools and options they both offer. I'm getting there.

It's like the Aftershock, I was somewhat impressed with some models and not so much with some others. But then I started digging into the editor and app and was pretty blown away by the sounds I was getting. You just have to learn how to use the software and settings you're offered. Once you get there, it's really almost limitless what these pedals can do.

I'd like to get the HX to where it'll cycle through the presets of the C4. But I want it to be like this, where I'm using 2 blocks on the HX where one block will cycle up and one will cycle down through the presets on the C4. Is that possible?

I was messing with it last night and all I could get it to do was switch the C4 off and on thru the HX via midi. But I really already had that because I have the C4 in one of the effects loops on the HX and I can switch it on/off when needed. Does all that make sense??

So caveat- I don’t have a helix. But all you’ll need to do is set up what midi CC value you want to use for scrolling up and scrolling down. That has to be manually assigned in the neuro app. I use the desktop app and it’s under Device (on the file/edit/top menu bar) then Edit Midi Map. You can assign any value you want, just scroll to the bottom of the options and you’ll see increment preset and decrement preset.

Then set the helix to send whatever CC number you chose on Midi channel 1 for both buttons you want to make.

I'll be revisiting this post tonight. Thanks man!! hopefully I can get this dialed in. I'm kinda waiting to get my HX and C$ midi preset functionality dialed in before I revamp my board. So I'd like to get this grasped before the weekend. And this will help I think.

Throwing caution to the wind and bringing the C4 and AS to their first gig... without having tested the AS at a rehearsal! Gonna get weird with it. I figure I can try to get volumes set at sound check and if one isn't working I'll just turn it off.
