I'm still sort of dialing in a few things live. I've found that until I get on stage, I can't massage the tones/levels quite right. It seems like the C4 passes some lows that are a bit exaggerated compared to my clean signal (just with the envelope filters, not synth or pitched voices)...and I've sort of had a hard time tracking at what stage those are happening to try to get it closer to my bypassed low end.

Hey @bassbrad did you ever get that Bluetooth device you linked here in the thread a while back to work controlling the Neuro app? And @rsmith601 what is the Bluetooth device you were using in that video you posted here?

I have not had a chance to mess with it, the one time i used it with my phone & stereo it sounded great but it did some goofy stuff to my phone settings that took a while to fix. I need to read the manual and I have not had time to goof with it. Gigs, sessions and decompression time.

Start at high volume and then back off a few clicks. You will see the little light blink when things are working. Also, be sure that the channel swap is NOT checked. The fact that you can hear it in your amp means its on the wrong channel, I suspect.

I also thought that was weird too. I think it made that audible noise because I had switched back to my iPhone speaker when I referenced your shared video again about this last time you shared it. So I’ll try this volume thing on the MPOW device. Thanks buddy!

Correct. The Spectrum does not have all of the effect modules or voices to replicate the C4.

They still haven't worked out the Neuro app compatibility either. I'm still not able to sample Spectrum presets via the app to my C4 as of yet. I'm sure that won't be the case any day now. I do believe you won't have any issues in the Editor though.

It all just depends on what you're after. For guys like me, the C4 alone is heaven-sent. I have no need to for an "ultimate filter". But the fact that I don't need an in depth synth don't mean snap to me haha But the other fact that I have these two INSANLEY awesome pedals in one for the most part covers a TON of ground for me. So yeah, if you're like me, the C4 is most likely the one to rule them all for you.

I can confirm this one works for sure, but it took me awhile to get it right. What worked for me was doing exactly what's shown in the video with the added step of backing off the iPhone volume two notches below full. One way to check your setup before you plug in is to use headphones to see if the Neuro app is sending that fax-like screech whenever you change presets, and make sure Invert Audio Input Phase is checked in Settings. Also that you're running the latest firmware which can only be updated with a computer and a USB cord.

Wait- have you downloaded the latest Neuro Desktop and updated the corresponding C4 firmware?
I have a C4 and I check what’s new on the Spectrum community every weekend. (It’s slow over there, I had SA concert some of my filter based C4 presets over to Spectrum to help.)
Edit: realized you’re talking about the iOS/Android app not the desktop. I just use the desktop- set up a usb hub on my board 2 weeks ago so it’s easier just to plug it all up now. Posted it somewhere around here...

I finally got time to integrate my new C4 into my board...kicking off my MXR BOD. My C4 is on midi ch 7, loop 1 (with my compressor). Hub is underneath, passing on the Boss ES-5’s midi CC messages to the C4 really well. I just need to learn to program the C4 a bit more! Currently I’m just using it as an octave! Lol!

Can any of you Spectrum vets comment on its ability to replace an octave pedal? Until now, I had been considering separate octave and filter pedals, but had planned to use them a lot together to get fat synthy funk sounds. Do you find that the Source Audio stuff is versatile enough to completely replace an octave pedal? Can you isolate the octave completely so that there is no filtering on it?

Also, can you comment on the tracking and response time of the pedal? I really like playing snappy percussive bits with an octave and usually lean towards analog octaves for their snappiness. But if the Spectrum is in the same ballpark, then I might be able to just have 1 pedal to do both jobs.

So it seems like SA is going to stay tight lipped on the release next week... so, just to check, the new pedal is out on the 8th? Will y'all have it in stores that same day?
