Regarding the Hub compatible effects loop, will it be midi controlled only or a true-bypass strip that can also be controlled via midi? I really, really hope it's the latter.

The Manta can do synthy stuff on it's own... Check out Invalid Link Removed posted a few pages back. Pretty awesome. I still need to sit down and program that in!

I'm talking about a whole SB2 octaver. Man, that would probably be enough to push me over the edge to get the whole Hub/Midi setup.

With an octave-up I'm in too...

I have a questions about the scenes:
When I'm having three settings on the OFD (little, more, full) and I'd like to add something a Flanger from the SA Manta (e.g., I don't have it), I would have to make another scene with one of the first three settings of the OFD.
However, this would mean, that in the basic scenes with only the OFD on, any change of the setting would have no effect on the OFD setting in the preset with the Manta on, would it?

Meaning, every tone has to be dialled in all by itself. This is on the one hand convenient, but on the other hand making things a bit more complicated.
The Hub Manager might solve this problem, no? That I can copy the OFD settings to every scene.

I have tried a bunch of setups but for my last gig I have my signal split after my OC-2 with an ABY. A side goes in to the Manta and B into few FX but in this case just using MXR BFD and then blended 50/50 with my LS-2.... Sounded soooo thick live and then throw in the expression pedal and you can see people's face react like 'Whoah, *** was that???'

Is that a good or bad thing?? I think you may have a little better luck with a POG like octaver, one that tracks really well. Just another thought. I was using, and still use, an octave patch on my Zoom 60b. I mixed the OC2 type octave they had in there with a pitch shifter. Its like the best of both worlds, an OC2 that tracks REALLY well.

Oh I mean it totally in a good way! It totally sonic heaven! I have been using an OC2 live for a couple years so I know what its limits are but it just sounds so good. I do want to try a another octaver down the road though... the MXR and POG are def on the must try list.

Right now it has 5 jacks: INPUT, OUTPUT, to EFFECT, from EFFECT, Multi-Function. It has an ON/OFF switch. Jesse got the true bypass relay to work without needed a separate power source. Since one needs one of these per analog effect, it needs to be really small. Adding MIDI I/O would make it bigger. This point of this thing is adding non-SA and non-MIDI pedals to "scenes". Hope this is clear.

Keep in mind that the 2 footswitches (and the presets they control) on the OFD are not part of the scene. Scenes are just snapshots of every setting on every pedal when the "save" button is pushed. The 2 presets on the OFD are always right there whether you are in a scene or not. Hope this point is clear.

Yes, using the Hub Manager 2.0 makes it easy to control and manipulate scenes in the manner you suggest.

I guess I'm not up to date on all SA's upcoming products...this is a different product than the MIDI controller you teased a few pages back?

Oh snap! In my overnight boredom (new baby!) I was able to research a larger area of MIDI controllers that were hard to find or just never talked about. In my search I came across a Digitech RP1 multi effects on Guitar Center's used site for $19.99. I noticed it had midi jacks and was labeled under MIDI so after a little more research I am pretty confident it will work for what I wanted, for only $30 shipped.

Also found a Hub on Amazon and was able to use my Bing rewards to bring the price down a little!

Yes, I think I understand. My concern is having direct access to the pedal(s) in the loop when I'm not using a scene. Similar to the way the two presents on an SB2 can be accessed at any time, I'd like to know I can get to the analog pedals at any time.

Example 1: I'm improvising or working on something new, so I'm not using predetermined scenes, I want to be able to use the analog pedals at will.

Example 2: I'm in a scene that doesn't include the analog pedals, but I want to add one of them on the fly.

So, I guess, what I'm wishing for is something like this:

It looks like the little guy, except it communicates with the Hub.
