Source Audio Sorcerers Society (S.A.S.S) Part 3

Thanks Brett! Even though I had a sneak peak at the script and had figured some things out, it was still helpful to watch. My only question is this: I've been thinking of the "maximum value" of the HH3 as the uncovered end with the power jack pointing toward the ceiling. If I followed you correctly, you seemed to be saying the opposite? Now, I realize that between the way you can calibrate the M5 and the Depth knob, it almost doesn't matter, I'm just curious.

Same here. The nose "being the covered end" I presume was the way mine was responding before I updated pedals and Hub. After updates it was reversed, Nose end pointing down and charging end up? I will have time tomorrow to look it all over and fix the problem. I just haven't had the time.:(

Good to see you back Roger! Hope you had a great vacation! The manta is incredible. I have one question. When I installed the editor and updated the pedals somehow the hot hand axis was reversed. I now put the ring on the opposite way to get the same outcome. Can it be reversed back? Thanks
I just confirmed with Jesse and yes, the axis was inverted. Before the upgrade, when the Manta was plugged in directly the values were the opposite of plugging in the Manta with the Soundblox hub. Now they match and move in the same direction.
Please note that you can tweak the Depth knob on the manta to change this behavior.
thanks!

I will check it out in the morning. I will tweak the depth knob and see what happens. Thanks for the info!!

Hey Roger, still haven't heard from you about the timing on that digital expression pedal! *hint hint wink wink*

Also, inspiration: I'll put in a vote for Source Audio to do a SB2 octaver! :D

5sg.

And if there is a release date, is it too early to talk MSRP or street price?

I just posted a few short sound clips and Manta presets exported from the Hub on my page here: http://www.cgraham.com/chris/music/bass/manta/

To import the pedal presets:
* Connect Hub and Manta
* Add Manta to your Scene Viewer section (drag-n-drop from the top or click Add New Pedal)
* Open the Manta pedal editor (double-click, or click Edit Pedal Settings)
* Click Import and select the preset file you just downloaded

Note the "underwater" preset should theoretically be identical with the exception of the Speed parameter. I opted to save two separate versions so you can be sure to have a 100% match to the sound clip you heard. But if you sync to MIDI clock all of the presets default to 1/4 note sync I believe.

Let me know how that works out for you. :)

I have had a problem with the HH3 ring disconnecting from the receiver? It has happened a couple of times. Is there a distance I need to stay within? I am wired to the board so only get about 6' from my pedal board. It has happened a couple of times and hard to turn the ring off and then back on in the middle of a song "while gigging". Any help or suggestions would be welcomed. I also tried using the depth knob to reverse the ring axis and it did not work. I still need to wear the HH3 ring with the charging input end pointing towards the tip of my thumb? Was reversed after the updates. Thanks in advance.

Make sure the receiver is not buried under anything. It wants to be up and out in the open. If you still have trouble, send a note to [email protected]

The digital expression pedal is about 4 months out. I am guessing $229 street. We tried really hard to get the cost out, but it is an expensive item to build.

Got some stickers from you peeps yesterday! Just wanted to say thanks and already on my board. Also I got a daisy chaIn from you guys to hook up the HH3 to the BEF-PRO and the Orbital (really digging the Orbital HH3 controls; rate control with vibe = instant ahnd-controlled Leslie type effect!)
