I don't recall that it likes to be on Channel 1 specifically; I don't have mine that way. I can say it does like to be earlier in the chain, so that any other devices aren't sending something weird to it. (It used to hate being after my Boss SY-300.)From memory...the Neuro hub likes to be set to Midi Ch 1. I would have liked to set my Midi channels to match my ES-'s loop numbers....but the Neuro hub likes to be No1....and I've wrtten nearly 70 patches on my ES-5....way too late to make a huge patch and midi change like that now!
In either case it is a little odd that this should be an issue, given that I haven't seen this issue with any of my other MIDI devices.
