Source Audio Sorcerers Society (S.A.S.S) Part 3

I may be missing something as I have only been able to access 3 presets unless I am hooked up to the Neuro app.
Actually, to get to the other 3 presets you need to press and hold the footswitch until the light goes red on Aftershock. This feature was added after the pedal was released. It's called Gibs mode!! Named for @Gibs210 !!

So,......tried running my C4 from my ipad last night via the trs jack and accessing the library. Worked great,...for about 5 minutes. Then something glitched and it would no longer trigger patches, stayed stuck on just one. I turned the C4 off and back on, still stuck on one patch via the ipad. Any ideas what I did wrong?

Yes you could ditch the spectrum, unless you use the 2 simultaneously for different sounds. You would have access to 128 scenes (multipedal presets) and in the case of the c4 (or spectrum) be able to access all 128 presets on it using cc103 (recall bypassed) or cc104 (recall active) followed by a value for the preset you want. Aftershock cannot do this, as it’s an older pedal and we did not yet realize that people would want more than 6 presets or to be able to access them without using hub memory.

Do I smell an Aftershock V2 in the wind? :D Or maybe the upcoming Multiwave will have 128 on-board presets as well?

I'm trying to download the update for Neuro Desktop for my iMac but get the message that Apple cannot check for malware so it will not install. Is there a workaround to this- I thought I saw something before but can't find it - or is there another update coming?

I've been shall we say 'aggressive' in my public opinion that all SA One Series pedals should have the MIDI abilities of the C4. ;)

I am sure we all agree 100% including the SA folks.

I am sure that going forward that will be the case with new products but updating the previous pedals is likely not a simple or inexpensive proposal design, programming or build wise.

From information provided the C4 is programmed to the fullest extent allowable given the current technology, price point & foot print. Much of what SA was able to achieve was certainly due to their experiences creating the previous pedals. Future pedals will again benefit from that experience as well as developments in technology and hopefully economies of scale but only time will tell there. Keep in mind that SA is a small independent company without deep corporate pockets to fund design or speculate on inventory futures.

That’s an Apple thing- instead of going into settings and turning off the safeguards just right click on the app in finder and select ‘open’. Don’t think you can do it from launchpad. You’ll only have to do it once then you can open it normally.

This. I'm relatively late to the MIDI/pedal automation game, but the more and more I get into it, the more I learn to appreciate everything that these guys can do.

It would be amazing if the upcoming Multiwave One Series has access to the Aftershock's dirt inventory too. Certainly worth the side / upgrade sticker price! Multiwave...plus existing Aftershock patches...plus 128 internal patches...take my money please....NOW! If it's got a triangle wave distortion model (like a 3 leaf Doom)...I might go even more crazy!

When the warning box pops up, you need to go to your Settings>Security & Privacy>General. You should see a box on the bottom that mentions the blocked download and gives you the option to bypass the restriction and download it

Just heard from Sweetwater that the Spectrum won’t be available again until March? Is this true? I’d rather get one from them since my rep has been nothing but helpful and supportive since I first bought something from there and would like to continue to support him, and no one local is willing to carry SA products (I asked).
