Is it better to have an expression pedal connected to the Nuro Hub or to the Soleman Controller? Or is 6 one way and half a dozen the other?

I have mine connected to my MC6. It seemed easier to route the cable in my board that way, plus as little easier for programming

I found that it's better to connect the expression pedal to the soleman. For some reason I got a smoother ramp than through the hub.

I was hoping you would chime in, as you are using the Soleman too.

Ok cool, so the output balance pans the two filters? I was playing with that but wasn't sure if I could trust my ear.
I really don't mind using the app and finding the blend I like between the filters and then using the knobs 1 and 2 for the different speeds of the filters like the original Aguilar pedal. I just wasn't sure I was doing it right.

I've uploaded a new Patch to the community that is inspired by the this sub thread on the Spectrum.
It's a blend between the "Tron" and "Dumpling" stock filters. Control knob 1 is the voice pan (effectively pans between Tron and Dumpling). I've also taken the liberty of adding a dirty octaver and it's level is controlled via Control knob 2. If you engage an expression pedal (set to Hun Midi in the patch) you can control the pan for both the octave and filter.
The patch is called "GMC Tron & Dumpling"

Hello SASS!

I have a spectrum question. In the PC version of the Neuro app is there a way to blend or pan between Voice 1 and Voice 2 (or Processor 1 and Processor 2) to favor one or the other?

My want is to use the Twin Filter preset the way the Aguilar pedal works. Currently the preset has the control of one up filter and one down filter's speed (like the pedal), but the pedal also adds a way to blend or favor one of the filters more, use one or the other solo or use both at the same time 50/50. Can I do this with the app?

An Inspired question!

I have a c4, not a spectrum, but looking at the editor it seems they share an awful lot. One thing I do is set the output balance to a knob and use that to blend between two filters. I did something similar with an OC2/Bass Octave Deluxe where it balances between two different octave down sounds.

I've created my patch on the Spectrum so that it will also can be loadable by the C4 users as well.

I argued for having 2 separate envelopes in the C4/Spectrum. Paying off!!

I'm so glad you did. It's awesome that I'm still finding new layers of control with the Spectrum after a year of use!

I need to point out that if this was released by some boutique effect company as a stand-alone pedal....the community would freak out and fork over $$ to get in line. Instead, you just gave a nice gift to all the owners of Spectrum and C4s something new and fun to play with for free.

Sometimes I wonder if the ease of doing stuff like this causes folks to glaze over how powerful the dynamic can be between community brainstorming, the resulting inspiration on the part of @GMC to create and share, and the pedal/editor/cloud ecosystem that makes it all happen. Am I so close to the situation that I think its amazing, but I am delusional?

I must be missing something w my Collider. Its not bypassing, only getting throughput when verb active. When active, mix 0= no sound. Ive tried both bypass options. stereo i/o.

Been having some issues w routing… complexity esp w C4 in front. In bypass, does a oedal revert to its default routing selection, or dies it stay w last preset/scene selection?

im not following, your saying it doesn’t bypass, but then that you have no reverb when mix is at zero. What is the issue here?

I'm going to make a guess and say that HH3 works. there's no reason to assume that the original hot hand outputs a different signal than the HH3 receiver.
But I understand if that's too little to go off to make a purchase.

It absolutely works with that pedal. With that said, Hot Hand tends to be more exciting with filter effects and pitch effects than with distortion. As I recall, Hot Hand controls the drive level on the MWBD. You could also send a note to Source Audio and beg them for a wired Hot Hand just to see what it does with that pedal. I have a feeling they might send you one for free if you told them that Roger said it was OK.

Holy Cow! This preset is fun! I just spent a quick hour get all kind of usable and fun and interesting tones with this preset. I can see me saving it in multiple slots with different variables saved.

sorry if unclear. When both sides of collider are disengaged, there is no sound passing from the pedal. No bypassed uneffected sound. Dry kill is not checked. Mix at 0 equals no sound output.

I’d connect your collider to the latest version of the desktop app (8.38) and check for a firmware update, sounds like a bug with the analog dry from older firmware revision.

Ok so, issue apparently upstream of Collider. Im trying to use input 2 in C4 (patch cable length) but it doesnt want to work by itself regardless of input selections in C4 editor. Everything bypassed, either input should work if inputs 1&2 are selected right?

With C4 bypassed or engaged? If engaged then you have to rout the signal the way you want it through the different parts of the chain in the editor and then the output mixer to actually have anything pass through in stereo (the pedal won’t automatically edit patches to provide independent stereo outputs just because you are plugged in that way)
