What do you mean exactly? Switch from one channel to the other? Or do you mean move the contents of one channel to the other and vice versa? If the latter, it’s not possible currently. You can copy one channel to the other but can’t swap their places.

Yes then, either via external switch plugged into the control port or via MIDI commands from a controller.

It’s detailed in the manual. Needs to be set in the global menu options (cog icon).

If you split the two channels and assign different patch parameters to each channel, use the Balance control (assignable in the editor) to fade between them. You will need to consider which routing method you are using because some options push the two channels to the separate output jacks and others send to them both (allowing the Balance control).

I'll be using the mono - stereo - mono, which option to select in the Control Source, there are Control X, Y, or Remote Expression (Hub/MIDI)?

The ultrawave ran out of code before we could configure external switching options and only had room for tap tempo for the tremolo, so it can’t use the external switch in that way. Best to use the SA dual expression pedal, and set up expression control using the balance settings that GMC mentioned, to go from channe 1 to 2, or blend them together.

Probably best to excise that bit from the manual then (section on external control says channel swapping is possible).

Hi SA hive! I hope everyone is having a swell weekend!
For the first time in a while, I plugged my SA environment into my computer to program some more panels on the ol' soleman to make life easier with my cover band. I have the plan to have a panel with the buttons sending CCs to the nemesis in order to recall the internal presets. I'm using CC 104 (engaged) with the value of the preset number. I set it all to midi channel 2 (in both the nemesis itself and the soleman panel) so that I don't accidentally recall an internal preset for the C4. However, the nemesis will only respond if everything is set to midi channel 1.
I tried it via macro but also directly from the panel sending CCs.
I do remember that you fine folks discussed channels and issues related to them in previous pages but I couldn't find it. Was there a trick to make this work?

So I just now assigned as follows:
Hub Channel1
Aftershock Channel2
C4 Channel3
Nemesis Channel4

The Nemesis now responds to the CC messages from the panels. However, in scene mode, it doesn't seem that the Hub still receives anything on Channel 1. Heeeelp

After all this, I don't know why it didn't work to begin with, it does now! So above question and begging for help is ignorable
However.... I'm not sure now how to deal with sending tap tempo to both nemesis and c4 from the soleman. I had originally set it to Channel 1, which now is only the hub. But even though the hub is set to midi thru, tap tempo doesn't reach nemesis and c4. And if I change the channel to 3 (C4) or 4 (nemesis), the tap tempo messages will obviously not make it to the other.... what do you folks do?

You will need to go back into each scene, and reset the device Id/midi channel to match your current settings for each pedal, then re-save the scenes one at a time. This is why I typically tell people if they plan on doing more than just changing scenes, to set their pedals to independent midi channels, as it reduces the amount of work you’ll have to do to fix it down the road.

You’ll need to enable midi clock on the soleman in each panel your using, or scene mode if you use that, and then use an external switch, or switch 4 on the soleman to set tap tempo, it will now adjust the bpm of the midi clock.

Is CC109 actually programmed to tap tempo in the pedal on channel 1? Some of the default MIDI maps differ, even on common controls.

Cc93 is the default tap tempo message, but if devices are on different midi channels then you won’t be able to send tap tempo to more than one device. You’ll need to make sure you disable cc tap in the global settings for the soleman, as that disabled midi clock.

This still doesn't work... I mean, would I have to somehow determine that the soleman most right switch sends midi clock, other than disabling the CC for tap tempo?
In the meantime, for panel mode I just made a macro for the 4th switch that sends CC93 to Channels 3 and 4 and that works, but for Scene mode I can't specify that.
