Really digging the sounds from the Aftershock! This is a cool pedal. I like the distortions in the C4, but these are great. I found useful stuff right away.

Just curious.. What's everyone's choice of signal path - Aftershock > C4 or C4 > Aftershock?

Well, the standard reply is try it both ways and see which way you prefer.

I have my C4 second in the chain right after my Drop pedal, I feel like synths, filters and octaves/pitch effects etc... perform best early (or first in chain), my drives come after...This works best for me, but YMMV.

For now, my C4 is first into the Aftershock. Some organ sounds I created for the C4 are just creepy when you kick on the AS. Goes from happy sounding to really dark, lol. My cats did NOT like that at all. :roflmao:

I have a board I use to achieve the "Royal Blood" signal chain using the Hog2 at it's core. Since this is a woeful under use of the Hog2, I want to integrate it into my standard SA stereo board but am running into a couple of obstacles.

On it's own, I run the non-effected bass signal out of the Direct output on the Hog2 and the pitched up "Guitar" tone out of the standard output. I have separate effects after the Hog2 for each standard and pitchshifted signal chain. If I bypass the Hog2, no signal comes out of the standard Output ("guitar" tone) and unaffected bass tone comes out of the direct.

I have a C4->Aftershock->Mercury with the direct Bass output from the Hog2 going into input/output2 of the SA pedals and the pitch shifted output of the Hog2 going into input/output1 of the same.

When all of the SA pedals are bypassed with the Hog2 engaged, it behaves as expected - the output 2 is the direct bass tone and the output 1 is the pitchshifted effected tone.

However, when the Hog2 is also bypassed, there is still a signal going through the Output 1 of each device, even though the Hog2 is not feeding the Input 1, only the direct Input 2. I have isolated each SA pedal and they have the same behavior. Each is set up with buffered bypass and stereo in/out. I am guessing that the input 2 is being summed to both outputs, rather than a "dual mono" arrangement?

I also have an Ultrawave and it does not have the same behavior. Even when the Utrawave is bypassed, the Input 1 is summed to both outputs and does not allow an isolated bass tone from output 2, despite having stereo in/out selected.

When using the Hog2 in this arrangement I will use the Aftershock or Ultrawave to achieve distortion for each signal, direct and pitched. This seams to work just fine with the Aftershock, but since the UW seems to be summing the inputs it is not working in the same way. Is there some setting to have "dual mono" on the UW like with the Aftershock?

Can you email this to the contact page? I need Jesse’s help on this. My understanding, collider, ventris, and eq2 should be able to handle this, I thought C4 would and ultrawave and aftershock, but not so sure about Mercury.

Someone else already mentioned the update to the Neuro app that includes USB editing for the C4, but I'm going to mention it again. That's so incredibly useful and greatly appreciated! It makes me feel way more confident about leaving the laptop at home when playing out.

Slightly related: has anyone been able to edit their dmc.micro PRO on an iOS device? I haven't dug too deep aside from going to the browser page and seeing (paraphrased) "no midi for you".

Here’s a puzzle for those with experience with Nemesis and Ventris:

Which is more feasible:
- to get something resembling a decent, if limited, reverb from a Nemesis
or
- to get something resembling a decent, if limited, delay from a Ventris?

I know this is the exact opposite of their supposed functions do. That’s why the the question. I believe fully that Nemesis and Ventris are capable of their respective duties well, but supposing I only get one pedal, which one would do a better job covering for the other?

What about a SA Collider? It has both.

The Collider came out around the time I was getting really interested in SA pedals. I couldn't do it. I ended up getting both the Nemesis and Ventris...and the Gemini...and the Mercury (because what if you need 2 modulation engines)...and the C4...and the EQ2...and the Vertigo...and a couple of Neuro Hubs...and the Soleman...and the Aftershock...which is making me seriously consider ditching a couple of Fuzzlord analog distortions in favor of a Bass Ultrawave. It's a slippery slope, a very cool, fully engaging, slippery slope.

Nemesis does not really have a reverb. However, Ventris has the Echoverb and it is a decent delay.
