I know someone state side, that has lots of source audio midi controllable devices and a crazy complicated board that can put this thing through it’s paces. :D:hyper::bassist:

It looks a very interesting prospect. I'm convinced that most buyers are more concerned about the size and shape of the device than they are about it's features of UI. I choose a Boss ES-5 over the Soleman because of the Matrix looper. But the sizing of the two units was the biggest factor, which are very similar. In the end i went with the Boss, however on hind sight I wish I'd gone with the Source Audio product.
That said the MorningStar MC-6 is a VERY capable product that is astonishingly small and easy to fit on almost any board. I think when the new Source Audio Reflex II is available, my need for a large Midi controller drops drastically.

That may be so, but I guess this device isn’t aimed at most buyers. There are lots of folks sporting Chase Bliss CXM 1978s and Automatone Preamps who don’t seem overly concerned about the heft as long as it does what they need it to do. This is not going to be in competition with Morningstar at all. In fact, I’ll still be using my MS controller too (though “dropping” from MC8 to MC6 Pro).

Looking forward to the MC6 pro. I have had the MC6 / ML5 combo since it came out. Still cant use it to its full potential. Now I have the ML10X and have yet to get it on my board. The MIDIUM looks very well made and designed, and I will most likely order one when they become available. It looks to be very user friendly and being able to make adjustments on the device with that level of ease is a big plus. Great job Q

it really depends on how you use the HOG2, but I would think no it wouldn’t. The HOG is a very different kind of beast than the C4. Not to say the C4 can’t make some of its sounds. Just sayin I don’t think either would replace the other. Imo.

Bit of a naive query.....

I've now got my pedals (including C4 and UW) in stereo. Enjoying recording this way on 2 channels.

But wondering how best to take into live band set up??
So 2x instru cables coming out of last delay pedal....
Could go into 2 channels on mixer, via DI line out, but I want one cable to go instru into my amp.

I asked a music store if there's a Y type adapter /switch to be able to do this. The guy was pretty dismissive of the idea with bass, talked of latency issues etc. Fair enough but I dont want /need to be using stereo feed into mixer all the time. I'm just considering how effective it night be with say a sweeping pad, as a song intro, or a 2 channel preset on UW. Some latency wouldn't be disastrous. Enjoy some width on sub sound, for guitars to play over....

Doesn't seem to be much out there on using stereo with bass. Is my thinking justified for this? What do others do to utilse stereo on pedals live? Is there a straightforward way? (I only have 1 amp /cab and dont want to purchase another in a hurry)

Or, would just line out from amp (1 cable) into mixer, with sound out of both R & L pa speakers give the same wide 'stereo' effect?

Thanks. Just to emphasise, I'm only interested in the wider/stereo set up for certain styles of playing, not general bass.
We dont have a synth player, so my bass doing swell pads on the C4, for example. I'm interested in directing this via the pa, for a wide synth backing for a song intro.....
Maybe I'm over thinking things, but the 2 channels on the UW has creative potential.
