No problem, think it’s more of a British thing.

Did you read the caveat I added to my post?
I missed the edit! But I got you now.
I meant the second one when I saying "presets": editing/adding a MIDI-recalled set of in-pedal-presets.
But when I read the first again, I'm not so sure... So let me give a little more detail to what I'm doing.
I use the dmc in preset mode to recall the in-pedal presets for my C4, UW, and a Hologram Microcosm (HM). So it's selecting a saved user preset as a number, and turning the pedal on/off. So P11 on my DMC would call up 45 on HM, 3 on UW, and 6 on C4.

I think we're on the same page...

So each DMC preset is sending out a few different PC messages on a few different channels, yes?

I’ve not used the DMC, but from what I’ve seen/read, am I right in thinking you’re just scrolling through a numbered list of presets from 0-127 with an up/down button?

The MS controllers are a little different in that you have a fixed number of presets in a single bank, two pages per bank, and each preset has its own button. How many presets you have per bank is dictated by the model (MC3/6/8). Adding and moving presets is easy but how you’d interact with the controller would be different from the DMC.

(You should check out the controller I’m codeveloping. Should have some footage of it for public consumption by next month as we’ll be exhibiting it at a UK trade show.)

You are right in your thinking for the DMC.

I'll have to dig more into the MS vids and such.

(You have piqued my interest with that last line!)

Morningstar has good videos on its YouTube channel.

I’ll create a post about our controller when the time comes.

Too lazy to Google, anyone want to interpret for us Americans? Is it a good or a bad thing?

Its a doddle = dead easy to do for anyone/no challenge

Usually in reference to something to get done /task /learning / acquiring skill..... Either hands on or mental.

No idea where its derived from.

Alternative phrase is 'piece of piss'
Again, a strange one, as piss is (usually) liquid and a piece normally refers to a portion of something solid

In 2001 I took a graduate class that was co-taught by a Brit. For fun he would give us these "British culture" extra credit questions. The most memorable one was on Cockney Rhyming slang.

The kicker is that late in that year Ocean's 11 was released. I went with my classmates. When Don Cheadle's character says "We'll be in a lot of Barney" and then has to explain to his confused friends "Barney Rubble? Trouble?" we all died laughing. I think we were the only ones.

Cockney rhyming slang is an art form, that needs to be preserved for ever more.
Trouble & strife = wife
Scotch mist = pissed (as in drunk)
Adam & Eve = believe

The beauty is, that it can still evolve

Not sure I read you right up to now. But you do now that P mode is a collection of your scroll banks (A,B,C,D) reordered in any way you like. Even a while since I’ve messed with my dmc, but basically you load up P mode, you then cycle to the scroll banks and select the preset you want to use for each scroll bank, you set wether the pedal is on or off by holding down the right switch(I think?) the led on means it loads on, off it loads the preset but bypassed. You can then set the midi clock (if you’re using it), so that it loads the correct tempo, then return to P mode and hold the right switch (?) to save. Repeat with all other presets in P mode.

That's essentially what I'm doing. But if I have a list of P presets and want to add one between P10 and P11 (so as to keep things sequential, or to seamlessly shift sounds in the middle of a song), then it isn't happening without a computer. (At least, not on iPhone.) The web editor is useful, but there isn't a great way to just "insert blank preset": you have to shift them one at a time (unless you're just swapping). And there's no way to copy/paste a preset to another preset location without the browser. (That I know of!)

I sold my c4 two years ago and just recently picked up another and holy mother of god why did I ever sell that thing.

It’s not going anywhere this time around!

I also picked up a lunar a few moths back and a soleman a few days ago. Still have my aftershock and bass envelope filter pro ( which is a masterpiece in my opinion).

Got me really itching to pick up the few drops I’ve missed. I think I’ve had pretty much everything.

so when are we getting a nemesis sized preamp to end all preamps again? :D

Nemesis sized Preamp with Aftershock engines, or maybe even a multi pedal of sorts, Atlas added as well.

Let’s not go too crazy with it  we can start with stereo ins and outs and preamps/cab sims. Don’t want to scare @rsmith601 from the idea immediately ;)
I wanted a simple Multiwave, but Bob gave me the Ultrawave. Yes, that scared the XXXX out me for a few moments.....but I got over it. :)
