Okay, forgive me, but I'm a lazy SA owner. I've owned a few SA pedals over the years, but never really deep dived into fully exploring them. Asking for advice with my current setup. Fairly simple, running a C4 into an HX Stomp. I do own an SA Hub and the dual exp pedal , although I haven't been using either of those. I hoped to do a simple plug and play with the dual exp to the C4 via the 3.5MM sensor output but it looks like maybe that doesn't work on series one pedals????

I guess I could use the hub for exp input/control, but my small boards fairly full as it is. I also like to keep things as simple as possible, less things to go wrong on a gig, etc. So basically I'm asking for some help in getting things configured. To control the C4, I'm just using my ipad and the library in the neuro app to call up presets. Works okay, but I do have to do some searching occasionally for the right patch. Anyone foolish enough to help an old geezer out on a better way to configure my board? Thanks!

If you want to use your dual expression pedal via the 3.5mm jack on the C4, you just need to use the right cable and set up the C4 to know what parameter you want to control.
In the Neuro Desktop at the bottom of the page, External Control : ON and then you get three options below that allow the expression to control. You need "Control input X (HH/Dual Exp) and then select the parameter (of 3) you want to control. Use the drop down list under "Control Option to select".

You will loose midi control of your C4 with this option because the C4 has only one Control port. Another option is to attach the Neuro Hub to the C4 and configure the 1/4" in jack to use Expression via midi. You would plug in your expression pedal into the Hub using a 1/4" TRS jack.

I think if you read and look at this it will get you going on the EXP to C4 input.

Questions say if I can set up preset access for each pedal with 128 ;presets would that capability of having 6: presets on the pedal be negated? Also just looking through the instructions yes says "128 preset ( scenes)" so do they mean they use preset and scene interchangeablely?

Presets on the Hub are scenes. It's only referring to Hub scenes, not pedal presets. The Neuro Hub doesn't add presets to individual pedals, it allows you to store the presets on the Hub for those pedals as one of the 128 scenes.

any plans to update Neuro Desktop display? In particular to be able to increase the size of menu display on right hand side independently - the presets list & access to cloud? I strain to read these, even with reading glasses.
I can zoom the laptop's overall scale/layout, but that's for the whole display and I have to close the Desktop connections window, to avoid a scroll bar for the control panels area. The software display seems to cut out more when zoomed in a bit, so I then have to reopen the connection window and reconnect.

Another thing I'd vote for is some different colours for the various parameters on the UW. All v grey. The C4 is better with the blue, green for voices, filters etc.

Yes there will be a massive update to the Neuro Desktop UX and UI. Been in the works for a while, but this is a massive project. It is not just another software update to Neuro, but rather a redrawing of the program from scratch. So I don't have a ETA date on that, as far as I know. But from the proposals I've seen, the visuals are stunning.

Ok am I missing something? I don't see any place to store 128 pedal presets. All I see are scenes?

If you are connected to the neuro hub, you will only see scenes. To access the presets for the C4 you need to connect directly to the USB port on it.

This is why I have considered that building a specific scene on the NEUROHUB, with pedal presets, that I wouldn't normally keep in the (6) toggle switch accessable slots would be best kept in my Nero App/Editor library rather than trying to connect to a huge preset list in the pedal by way of midi.

Just easier conceptually for me...if I don't need to recall a preset to manipulate the knobs on the pedal manually beyond a one off scene mix.

Ok I'm getting what everyone means by the older series one pedals. In my case the lunar, aftershock and spectrum are the older ones only capable of storing 6 presets. The newer ultra wave, c4 and Atlas can store 128 presets which you can only access with a midi controller. I'm getting this....

True but it's technology, might as well use it I have analog pedals that can do that. But again I have 3 pedalboards, with the SA stuff being my digital board.

I have no problem with anyone spending their time as they wish. However, there is more than one way to skin a cat and just because there are 127 slots doesn't motivate me to fill at least 126 of them!
