I get that but I've read from SA that the series one pedals are capable of a preset mode where you can access 128 presets per pedal my issues is how di you access them. Get get the soleman is just for scenes and set list recall. Still confused about the series one preset mode function...I think you may have a semantic misunderstanding;
From SA:
Scenes are created by the user with the NEUROHUB. There are 128 preset (scene) slots to be filled in the Soleman access memory. There are no PRESETS as we would think about regarding a multi-effects processor.
- Scene Mode—Scroll through all of the Soleman’s 128 Scenes in order with the onboard foot switches.
- List Mode—Arrange Scenes in any order and step through them in sequence. The Soleman stores up to 64 Lists, each containing up to 90 scenes.
- Panel Mode—Store up to 64 “Panels.” Within each panel, assign specific functions to each of the four footswitches like Program Change, Continuous Controller, and Note On/Off messages. Or assign multiple commands to a single footswitch with macro messages.
The LIST mode is used to create 64 "custom" lists each of as many as 90 of your own scenes for set lists or live access by song performance. Or PANEL mode assigning functions to specific foot switches as discribed above for more involved midi messaging.
I have the NeuroHub and Soleman, and no other MIDI impedimenta needing workaround or additional efforts, to get scenes built with (5) One Step pedals and stored for recall. If I had more need of midi control, it seems like just warming up to a Soleman Midi Footcontroller could really cut down on the involved headaches that seem problematic to me?

You can use the soleman to access the presets ON the respective pedal via CC messages:
In the neuro, go to the midi mapping for the device, there you can either see which cc number is already set up for preset scrolling, or you just assign one yourself. Specific presets can be accessed usually with CC 104 and then the number of the preset (-1 because of the midi number offset). A bit cumbersome, but if you don't want to use panel mode on the soleman to send the CC messages, you could make a macro for each preset and then use those in scene mode for scrolling. For all of the above, you wouldn't need a hub. But that only works with the newer One Series pedals that have the internal storage of 127 presets.
Also, keep in mind that you'd want every pedal on its own midi channel. This will be part of the message from the soleman.

So each One Series pedal has 127 "on board preset" memory locations, but can only have three (3) at a time assigned to the toggle switch, BUT, can be accessed from the Soleman through the NeuroHub to pull up another pedal preset (#4) by way of the Panel mode on the Soleman? (I seem to recall there are a total of (6) slots for toggle assignment based on an A/B configuration accessed by holding the control switch and re-power up switched between the A/B sounds?)
Honestly, for myself, I would probably keep a sound on the app and pull it from my library for a given purpose, than try to do everything needed to try and connect everything for that many midi requirements.

There is a difference between the older One Series (Aftershock, Gemini, Lunar, etc.) and the newer ones (C4, Multiwave, etc.) with regard to whether 128 presets are stored only on the Hub or on the pedal.
Great info! Thank you. So I take ideally for this purpose I should be using panel mode. I've already switched each pedals to it own midi channel, so that seemed to solve the issue with the c4 turning on/off. now I'm focusing on the other functionality. Just got through reviewing panel mode and macros. A lot to wrap my head around.....but since I've invested in the soleman, nothing left but to do but press forward...Question:

It really depends if you would prefer to scroll through your presets in scene mode rather than getting easy access to 4 at a time in panel mode. I used to think I prefer scene mode, but it's really only useful to me when I'm searching for sounds when working on a new song. Once I know my setlist, I put what I need into panel mode. Setlist mode didn't work for me as well, even though it's great too.
Don't t worry, once you've set up a couple sounds on the soleman, it'll become second nature

Sorry, I just realized re hub - for how I use the soleman to access the internal presets, I don't need the hub in terms of ITS preset slots but I need it to get the midi connection from soleman to the pedals. If you don't have a hub, you'd need that new midi adapter thing that SA is releasing soon.
Panel mode is just easier for me with my Coverband with 60 songs because we constantly change the order of songs. With my panels set up, I know on which few pages the presets are that I need. If I used setlist mode I'd have to either keep reordering the list or scroll a lot.

Okay, forgive me, but I'm a lazy SA owner. I've owned a few SA pedals over the years, but never really deep dived into fully exploring them. Asking for advice with my current setup. Fairly simple, running a C4 into an HX Stomp. I do own an SA Hub and the dual exp pedal , although I haven't been using either of those. I hoped to do a simple plug and play with the dual exp to the C4 via the 3.5MM sensor output but it looks like maybe that doesn't work on series one pedals????
I guess I could use the hub for exp input/control, but my small boards fairly full as it is. I also like to keep things as simple as possible, less things to go wrong on a gig, etc. So basically I'm asking for some help in getting things configured. To control the C4, I'm just using my ipad and the library in the neuro app to call up presets. Works okay, but I do have to do some searching occasionally for the right patch. Anyone foolish enough to help an old geezer out on a better way to configure my board? Thanks!
