Source Audio Sorcerers Society (S.A.S.S) Part 3

You wouldn't happen to have a photo of your set up with the dongle would you? Midi is all a bit new to me...

I've attached a picture below, I gotta get myself a proper power and pedal board setup, but this seems to work fine so far.

The weak point that I worry about here is that the Bluetooth usb-midi adaptor runs off a normal phone charger type usb block. I haven't had problems but I wonder about potential hums once I have this thing plugged into a big p.a.

The other way to do it would be using the new source audio midi adaptor and running it between a pedal and the chocolate's trs midi jack. You do lose the chocolate's expression ability this way though.

Perfect, thanks Josh! Is there any real delay in patch changes? I'm not great at trying to time my long presses to change patch mid song
Delay is about the same as flicking the selector switch with your toe live. I hated it at first and then realized all the cool kids don't care and it's just the nature of the digital beast. I don't notice it now. On the ultra wave I use the expression pedal with the morph feature for most things and it's instant control

Hello Guys

I have recently purchased a Future Impact v3 pedal, and I have a Solemam controller lent to me by a friend.

I can switch over the presets and expression pedal but not advanced features such as lists, parameter modifications, and macros; sorry, I am a midi noob.

I am wondering if anybody in this post has been able to configure this kind of stuff and could help me out with this!

Thanks in advance

I am having a bit of a nightmare controlling the C4 via quad cortex. I am going from the MIDI out in the QC to the MIDI in of the Neuro Hub, and from the Neuro Hub to the C4 via 3.5mm cable. The light on the C4 is green.

The preset I am trying to activate is 029 in the Hub. I am sending a PC message on channel 2, Program number 29 "on preset load message". I have another Preset sending PC 26 just to test. The C4 is staying on 029, which also happens to be burned to the triangle in Green mode.

Also, the little LED on top is not lighting at all when swapping between presets, which tells me the MIDI message is not getting to the pedal.

Using PC messages was the way I was controlling it with a boss GT 1K Core.

I'd really appreciate some help.

Thanks in advance peeps.

Is the C4 also on MIDI channel 2?

Make sure you have “MIDI Thru” disabled on the Quad Cortex

Have you accounted for the discrepancy between the PC numbers the hub needs for a preset vs what you QC is sending? I forget it it's +1 or -1. Maybe try several consecutive scenes that include the C4.

I haven't, but the issue is that it's not receiving the PC message at all. I have 2 presets in the QC sending 2 different PC messages on preset load, and the C4 stays firmly where it is

From what I understand, the C4 isn't receiving PC messages, the hub would and then if it's triggered a scene with the c4, the hub will relay to the C4. So if the hub isn't getting a PC message that relates to a C4 scene, it makes sense that the C4 isn't getting anything. I.e., there's a chance that if you haven't accounted for the PC# offset, your presets aren't being fired.

Is it a CC message that needs to be sent? In my setup, I send both PC and CC messages to the hub. The PC selects scenes on the hub which include Aftershock and Gemini. The CC messages select presets on Spectrum, C4 and Ultrawave on their respective channels. All pedals are connected to hub with 3.5mm cables. Controller is connected via midi 5 pin. Hub passes CC messages to their respective pedals. I don't think the hub passes PC messages over the 3.5mm connection? Maybe I'm wrong. Just a thought...
