More Collider Love. After I finish sucking at guitar to get the loop going I proceed to suck at bass in the second half of the vid. Yes... I coud re-do this loop 10 more times and tune out the mistakes (and shorten the video) but that's not fun. I like letting the creative process be whatever it is... mistakes and all... I'm just sending what little I have to send. Cheers!

* Slick SL50 ($250) | oh, I did add a tone pot and rewired/shielded

--> forgot to switch to my "bass solo" preset for the Collider on this one so it's a little dry.
The next one will be highlighting a VERY smooth synth bass PRE I made on the C4 (and will upload/share). I just gotta come up w/ a tune to loop. If I can find a way to add my pog/env filter I will as well.

Just happened to notice that my first published Aftershock Neuro preset is over 10 years old now, so I made an updated version: Bass OD v2.0.
That screen grab from Neuro 3.0 looks fantastic. I'm really really looking forward to this release.
Here’s a q for you - and it’s probably as good as thread as any to ask in.
I have a C4 pedal, and quite like it.
But I’m not using it as much as I could and need to spend more time setting it up for what I need, I’ve not able to get an octave sound that fits for me.
Recently picked up a valeton oc10 which is a OC2 clone, and instantly got useable and musical octave ness… so for my use I think that this is a better solution. It’s a feel thing and warmth as much as it is the C4 being objectively bad.
So the temptation is to simplify and ditch the C4 and just pick up/build an analogue envelope filter of somekind … and ditch any more synthy things….
but I have a feeling that the difference I would find between the c4 and an analog filter isn’t as much as I have found between it as a octaver…
Any advice or suggestions?

Have you tried a variety of C4 OC2 sounds? There are lots of them.
Interesting. I'm sometimes checking out various octave pedals, just out of curiosity. Makes my wonder about having a seperate octave pedal, with a certain character.....
But that would not have the vast potential of C4 octave/filter/env/dirt combos that can be taken into many different musical genres. I recently change band from dub/funk/dance to alt rock. The C4 is just so indespensible in utilising an exciting new range of subs/octaves with extra textures of filters etc with distortions from my UW.
If I had bought into seperate octave, filter, mod pedals for the funk band, I would now have to reconsider. Instead, I can keep what I already programmed and adapt or change to new musical styles. I love the discovery of trying random things to come up with something new & expressive, using neuro desktop.
I don't know what stuff you're playing or need to have at disposal?
As @RSmith says, there's loads of cool octave sub sounds to check out in community, including specific brands of pedals.....Searching under 'octave' brings 270 results!

I actually just had my OC2 on my board last week and I was A/B'ing it with the C4 OC2 patch I use. I think the C4 can do an almost dead nuts sound of the OC2. Now, I will never profess to be an OC2 expert. I've used the OC2 for years. But I've always had issues with output from it in my bands mix. But the C4's OC2 is nice and loud. I will also say its not an EXACT OC2 patch. But it is damn close and in a live mix, I honestly don't think most would tell a difference. However, for my uses, the C4 performs better in my bands mix and sounds just like the OG OC2 IMO.
Also of note, I cannot remember who posted/shared the OC2 patch I use. But I think I found it with the search feature on the app. Whoever created it did a phenomenal job. Apologies I can't give credit where credit's due atm.

I also need to dive back into the C4 with the desktop editor and the app. It's literally been years and I am sure it's been updated numerous times since. Love SA stuff. You guys are an amazing company that makes so much awesome and useful tools for us musicians. Its a great time to sit down with SA stuff and dive in and explore. You guys rock! \m/
Yep, but not found something that feels right yet…as explaination part of my “urgh” -ness is not wanting to stare at screens when playing, I do that in my day job and music is very much a hobby- I would say that very clearly if I were gigging more regularly and I wanted something to recall a certain sound night after night the C4 is it
So…
I have just spent a few hours trying to tone match… and actually went about it the other way of ignoring the presets other folk have made - I find that there’s not great ways of seperating really good from bad presets unless you go by the name of whoever made it…
but this time I started from scratch.
Octave down, and then playing with the “filtering” knob and a mild drive to get a synthy tone - far too bright which stumped me a bit till I realised I could use a LPF with the envelope set to be always on to roll off the top end.
It took a while but I think I got there!!
^ has been my method too. I don't want to be "led" by a preset ( sometimes to my detriment... lol). I look at presets to see what ingredients are needed for cerain sounds then strike out on my own. I win more times than not, but even when I lose I learn and am more in-tune with my investment.

No, it does not. That was beyond the scope of what we could take on. As it is, Neuro 3.0 is thousands of hours of work over the last year.
Much obliged and looking forward to putting your work to work with a new platform.
I think that’s the thing, taking the time and sitting down with it with a laptop and a goal in mind and then working out how to do that - and then set it up so the two knobs and blend give you want you need as a pedal …
That's what I usually did a few years back. I just made 3 presets and kept 3 pre-made presets on the second set and haven't been back to the PC editor or the app since.
Although since I've gotten back into playing and my effects a little more lately, I need to get back on there and set some new ones.
We used to use that cause in the early days of flash memory where we would find that a bit had flipped to cause a software failure. More likely was something in the silicon but there was no way to find out what actually caused it.
