Light is solid, and when I'm soundchecking, I'm using the exact sounds (combination of pedals) I use on the gig. I've never updated the firmware - in fact, I didn't know you could.

You can update SB2 pedals with the hub or by sending them back to SA. In any event, I would email SA. They should be able to diagnose it fairly easily. They probably have not responded to you directly in this thread simply because of the holidays.

Got the new 3leaf Octabvre last week and it won't fit on my board the same way it's predecessor did, so o decided it was time to breakdown the ole board. I was planning on change the setup when the new controller becomes available anyway and since Im in between bands I don't really need the full setup to be ready, but just the same its sad to see it in pieces. Was the longest iteration of any board I've run since I started buying pedals 6 years ago.

My current wish: since the PEQ isn't fully hub compatible I wish a sb2 pedal with eq built in could have the eq applied to the clean section of the signal as well. There are a few patches I have that need an eq change like a basic treble cut or mid boost. Currently I'm doing this between my M5 and the OFD. Problem is the OFD only changes eq on the effected sound and I can't quite get the clean eq in there when I need it. Sometimes the m5 is my eq but since it's only 1 effect at a time, sometimes it's being reserved for something else. Plus sometimes the main effect comes from the m5 itself and I need a eq after it. Maybe easiest solution here but definitely not the cheapest, is to invest in the m9. I'd rather SA get the money though!

I'm trying really hard to have everything automated through midi/hub so I can avoid any double tap patch changes. I'm a huge fan of hitting one pedal and everything changing at once.

I wonder is the HH3 Receiver antenna is not getting a good signal when you are in places with lots of 2.4GHz activity. If it is possible to elevate this so that it can hear and see more, that might solve the problem. Sorry about being slow on responding. Travel/football/family/etc. got in the way!

I've some more questions about using the hub -

According to the manual, it can accept midi via the USB jack, e.g. from a computer...

1) Can anyone confirm if this includes MIDI PC messages?

2) And does anyone know whether there exists a device that can take in a USB midi message and send it out by USB as well? I'd search for this but I've no idea what it's called or how I'd begin searching.

Basically I have a Softstep controller (http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/sep12/articles/kmi-softstep.htm), and it sends out midi through USB. I can configure what messages it sends out.

The other end of the softstep cable is a normal sized USB cable. Also, I know it's considered a slave device, not a master device.
I believe the zoom ms60b and source audio hub are also slave devices.
So what I think I need is something that acts as a master device.

Does anyone know how I can make this work? Something like this:

A while back, I was asking about a similar problem (can't remember if I asked here or by email). The same fix was suggested, but I never quite got down to it until recently when I took apart my pedalboard.

In the past two weeks, I've taken to putting the receiver on a music stand so it's about waist height. It definitely is an improvement from when it was sitting on the floor, but it still cuts out occasionally. I don't suppose it's possible to change the frequency that it operates on....? Alternatively, will it work with a longer cable? Any 3.5mm TRRS should work right? If so, I might consider getting one and trying to put it even higher up.

It works with a very long TRRS cable (30 feet). I tired it one time.

Hi all, can somebody enlighten me about the "regular" overdrive/distortion settings on the SB2 Multiwave bass pedal? How do they compare with typical sounds generated by commonly used pedals (or boutique devices, for that matter)? I'm clear on the single band, multi-band, foldback, and octave settings.

Edit: This occurs with any reverb type on the wheel. Appears the further past noon you go on the Mix, the more your output is reduced when you turn it off. That would explain my strange volume discrepancies in my presets!

Please send us an email at [email protected]. It's possible that the pedal just needs a firmware update.

Hi!
The Hub receives Program Change Messages. The Softstep would have to go through a computer if plugged into the USB or you could use the MIDI expander:
