Source Audio Sorcerers Society (S.A.S.S) Part 3

I picked this up on a whim and I've already found two settings I'm really digging: The Octave Fuzz and the Big Pi. I'm definitely new to this pedal and SA in general, but I like what I have so far!

btw: Octave Fuzz on the RATM version of Ghost of Tom Joad is fantastic!

@rsmith601 same here, if you're updating, could you add a Multiwave Bass pro to my name on the list? Thank you!

Anyway, over the weekend I tried a new setup- I realized my volume pedal could be used as an expression pedal, so I hooked it up to my multiwave. Damn is it amazing. Being able to gradually ramp in dirt and adjust how much dirt is wanted on the fly is one of those things you never realize you need until you try it.

My setup looks like this now -

I think an expression pedal is going to be a permanent addition to my board now. I'm not sure if I'd get the SA expression yet, I haven't felt the need for something that advanced so far. But some time over the next year I'm thinking of adding a hub and midi controller, and changing my multiwave pro to a multiwave soundblox 2 to save space. I think I'm going to miss the EQ function, but (correct me if I'm wrong) am I right to say that the pro cannot use scenes? Only soundblox2 onwards?

I'd be really interested in this also, since I'm using a MS-60B at the end of my chain for misc effects and EQ. No offence to the SA PEQ, but the MS60B can simultaneously do a graphic EQ and parametric EQ and compressor and noise gate, so I'll rather leave that in for now - I use the parametric to cut out my drummer's kick frequency from my signal.

Awww yessss finally, the midi controller. I'm guessing you -have- to get the SoleMate in addition to the Hub? Looks like I'm going to have to add a bigger pedalboard to my budget to fit everything I want on it. Pedaltrain 3, SoleMate, Hub, swapping my multiwave pro to a multiwave 2... and saving for a Status graphite. Damn.

Cool! SO, basically, you can access all 128 settings and have 10 easily accessible at a time? That looks very cool!

Yep. I've set #5 on all banks as 'clean' - no SA pedals on at all, and this works.
I'm coming from a Line 6 M13 pedal, where I had 12 'scenes' ready to go at any one time, so I like not having to scroll to different presets or banks, and have the ability to change tones quickly within a song.

Lots more to program, though. The OFD/Organizer/Manta/Dimension combination is going to be a monster….until SA comes out with their delay…then their synth. Then I'll need more room on the board, and will probably go with their SoulMate midi controller, which is smaller.

I had the b3k at the same time as my ofd. I tried for hours to cop the b3k tone with the ofd and could not get it. I got a few that were in the ballpark, but I could not cut the right mid frequencies and obtain the metallic quality. Overall, I still preferred the ofd and I saved those settings in my hub. I'll post the settings that I used to try and emulate the b3k soon.

SourceAudio should create a community site for sharing settings like Fender has for the Bronco and Mustang amps/multis.

Yeah I would be very interested in something like that as I just picked up a Manta, and would love some starting points. The BEF Pro definitely had a learning curve. That would absolutely help some people new to SA from getting fed up before finding the sweet spots.

Well if you pick up a hum and download the software they have some presets to start from.
