That a good idea in general, mine are updated though. I think it was necessary to make one or two of them work with the Hub as well.

Nothing, but I have an expression pedal connected to the expression in.
That part of the chain is Boss CS-3 -> MWBD Pro -> Manta
Also, I'm running it on a Mooer Micro Power, should be similar to a decently separated daisy chain (not truly isolated between pedals, but there's some large resistor setup between each load)

The Mooer supply looks a bit scary. Try putting the SA pedal on an SA power supply as an experiment and see what happens?

What am I doing wrong? I have orbital, reverb, manta, hub, hub software and two midi pedals to choose from softstep and midimoose. When I hit a button on the midi pedals the light on the hub blinks but the scenes don't change as a result--not on the SA pedals or in the hub software on my laptop. I've got instructions for the software and the hub but not much from what I can tell about how the two interface. Any ideas? I crave a change of scene.

Some questions - forgive me if this is too bassic, I've just started using this myself - first, have you set the MIDI channel on everything it can be set on so it matches, and then, are you doing things in the right order; step on a MIDI pedal to select a program number, change SA pedal settings, save to the Hub, repeat with a different MIDI program number.
And, have you updated the SA pedals and the Hub with the latest firmware, if not then you should do that first.

How are you sending from the softstep to the hub? I'm facing a bit of problems, might just give up on using softstep or USB controllers.
Thanks for responding Nic and Fretnomore. I'm using the Keith McMillan adapter that converts softstep usb to 5-pin, and like I say, I've also tried triggering with a midi-moose which is just 5-pin out. I'm betting FRetnomore is right about setting midi channels, and then doing things in the right order. Where do you set midi channels in the laptop SA hub software? I know where on the softstep to do it I guess. Set it all to channel 1 I suppose? Or Fretnomore do you mean that you don't use the laptop software? I'll try updating pedals too.
Yes, it's a standard stereo 1/4" TRS cable.

The Dual Expression Pedal actually has two 1/4" TRS outputs and one 1/8" TRRS output. It's actually the Triple Expression Pedal except that the 1/8" TRRS output and one of the 1/4" TRS outputs don't work properly if used simultaneously.

Nice. I was tempted but since I already had expression pedals I skipped the SA one. The new pedal they are developing might be more difficult to resist ...
I had it for a while but I was a little underwhelmed by how it interacted with the 3rd party pedals I wanted/needed it for. However, the form factor was fine and I trust SA to keep moving forward, so I'm definitely hyped for the new version.

My hub just arrived yesterday (and my MWBD2 arrived earlier this week, and I just managed to get my home-made arduino MIDI pedal to work). It's gonna be an exciting weekend, my band isn't rehearsing this weekend so I've time to recreate my MWBD Pro presets on the MWBD2 and link up everything with the hub.

Now just to configure this to work with a powered USB Hub, then I can control both at once.
A suggestion to the wonderful guys at Source Audio - if the Midi controller you'll be releasing can do USB output as both host or slave device, it could have so much more functionality - for example, controlling most of the Zoom pedals, or iPad/laptop based effects.
It's actually really easy to build, I got the code from this guy and the circuit is pretty easy to wire up. Of course, it's incredibly basic. It's just setting each button to send a particular MIDI program change number. But I guess for now I don't really need incredibly complicated functionality. This is going to be a huge step above having to manually click all my pedals one by one.
Meanwhile now I'm trying to understand the Hub. Is there an easy way to invert the function of an expression pedal? Since the Hub currently cannot set scenes that configure both presets (left and right side), I'm thinking of always leaving one MWBD2 preset as my clean tone, and using the scene to set the other preset to be my dirt tone. That way, I can pick a scene for whichever particular dirt tone I want, and then use the expression pedal to morph between the two. The problem is that I want my expression heel down to be my clean tone, but by default heel down is the currently "on" preset. Can I invert this so expression heel up is my currently "on" preset?
There's something I'm going to try too; in the scene viewer, I notice I can put more than one of the same pedal. So I'm going to do this:
First pedal in scene: MWBD2, clean tone, current preset 1, status engaged
Second pedal in scene: MWBD2, dirt tone, current preset 2, status bypassed
It'll take a while before I migrate this to my board to actually test it, but I'm hoping it'll be able to let me set both presets at once.

Oh, I see. In that case then there shouldn't be a problem on the softstep side, I assume that it sends out the 5pin normally.
