I've got an HH3 waiting at home for me. Someone buy my MBSS (see sig) so I can buy a Manta!

So I now have a Hot Hand in my possession. I ordered used from a remote GC. They listed it as a Hot Hand 3, and it looks like one from all the pictures I've seen, but I was wondering, is there any way to tell for sure? And on the off chance it's a Hot Hand 2, what's the difference?

I really like the consistency and predictability of the Manta. It doesn't feel like there is any compression happening it is just very adaptive to different signal levels. I do feel like it retains some of that analog feel of being able to control the opening and closing of the filter with playing dynamics. SA has done an amazing job of keeping the convenience and tweakability of digital processors while still sounding and feeling very organic.

Getting more familiar with my Orbital Modulator. TBH I was questioning my purchase, if I actually wanted to add in modulation, flanging, chorus, etc. into my sound.

Boy howdy. I'm growing quite fond of it. The range of options on this beast are lovely. Everything sounds great, once you get familiar with the controls.

Excuse the off-beat here and there, I'm still getting used to practicing with delay (another tool I've scantly messed with in the past). I have my metronome on my B3 off so you aren't blasted with faek drummz.

The HH3's receiver is the little box you've seen that sits off to the side. The HH2's receiver is a gray antennae that plugs directly into (and sticks up out of) the pedal.

Okay, thanks. This is clearly the HH3 then. I tried it out last night. Either I need to tweak the settings, I need practice, or I was just using it on the wrong pedal because I was a little underwhelmed when trying it with my BSY600. (It's possible all three of the above are true.) I don't yet have any SA pedals but the Manta is #1 on my GAS list.

Particularly with a 3rd party pedal. I suggest starting with an expression pedal (if you have one) getting things set up with the effect, and then switch over to Hot Hand. You can always send a question to [email protected]. Those guys get many HH folks up and running.
