Okay, I appreciate the responses so far...I can contact SA directly, but before that I think I am in need of a little "Basics of Hot Hand 101." What is the HH actually sensing? Is it position, velocity, or acceleration? If velocity or acceleration, when the HH stops moving, is it as though I stopped moving the expression pedal, or is it as though I returned the expression pedal to the heel position?

Also, the manual refers to "processed output" on the sensor output---does this mean whether or not the Depth/Smooth knobs have an effect on the output when connected to an SA pedal? The manual doesn't explain this very clearly, but that's what I'm gathering.

BTW, some context...I found a pretty good deal on a used HH3 at Guitar Center. I have short-term plans to get a Manta as soon as I make a sale, that's why I jumped in to the world of the HH3 without much background or direction. For now I am playing with it with my BSY600, but I also have two Eventides and a Line6 I intend to check it out on.

You can use the dual ex to morph between presets. At certain settings you do get a little bit of both, but there is no stacking of effects.

I actually asked about this in a thread but didn't get any reply. Which leads to speculation. I think that there is something in the works and they're not ready to let the cat out of the bag. I wouldn't be surprised if they had a delay ready within 6 months or so. I agree that controlling modulation and/or repeats or length with the HH3 would be spectacular in the right context. Add a delay to the HUB setup would be awesome!!! Maybe RSmith will confirm or deny such a possibility sometime soon?

I'd snap up a SA Delay in a heartbeat. I'd imagine they could probably do something wild enough to possibly make me think about pulling the Red Panda Particle off my board.

I was thinking of pedals like the particle when I posted about a delay. I was thinking SA could probably come up with some very interesting ideas possibly without costing 300 bucks.

Well, the last time I talked about a new pedal concept it turned into a massive thread describing a pedal which is still in development.......so please note that until I say that we have a product that is coming out for sure (Manta, OFD, Orby, etc.) there is high risk that it will not come out. Unless we can make something really great....we will not do it. Yes, the synth project continues.

Bob did work on a delay once upon a time, but the options, controls, knobs, and features made it really hard to get into a reasonable housing. Jesse and I actually discussed yesterday morning that we may now be in a better position to start this up again given the Hub, SB2 housing, and other things we learned while doing the reverb.

Bottom line? We did some work on one a while back. We are talking about starting that effort up again.

Next product in the pipeline? High end version of the dual expression pedal. And that is ALL I am going to say on that for the moment! :)

I was pondering this was well. I know they have a lot of plates spinning, but I'd love to know what's next.

If my memory is correct there has been mention of them at least researching a synth pedal and a new expression pedal to solve compatability issues.

I would imagine if they can get their pitch detection to work for their synth effect then a whammy/HOG/POG/Pitchfactor style pedal would be possible.

I'd also like to see a weirdness/insanity pedal from SA. One that can do ring mod, bit crushing, sample rate reduction, glitch, pattern modulation, etc. Whatever weirdness they can squeeze in there.

Of course a delay in a SB2 footprint with strymon/eventide quality would be prime too.

I understand and I'm hopeful that everything you learned doing the reverb and the development of the HUB makes it more possible. I appreciate the fact that you won't do it unless you can do it right. I'm optimistic you guys at Source Audio will make it happen though.

Source audio is really killing it with the sb2 series. I also play synth and I can see the entire series making up one awesome bass/synth board.

Id like to know this as well.. I use the tafm, an overdrive and another distortion specifically for a few songs and it'd be nice to consolidate to one pedal.
