Source Audio Sourcerers Society (S.A.S.S.) Pt 2

Yeah, read that in the manual... just need to get it to click in my brain I guess. lol

If you're using the Manta to control the HH3, where do you guys usually set the Depth/Smooth knobs on the HH3 receiver?

The HH3 receiver knobs don't do anything anyway if you have everything on the "green" mode, which is what Roger recommended. That just puts the same controls on the Manta itself.

... and there's the lightbulb above my head! lol Thanks brother. Everything's in green on my receiver except the connection light that says the receiver is connected... I wondered why those knobs weren't doing anything. Derrrrrrrrrrr. lol

Glad I could help. I should be clear that I'm not totally doing it justice. You should dig into the HH3 manual to see what the different light combos mean. Basically, though, the different light combinations tell you which axis the HH3 is responding to and whether or not the "sensor output" is "processed." "Processed" means that the signal through the 1/8" TRRS cable is affected by the "Smooth" and "Depth" knobs on the HH3 receiver; "unprocessed" means it isn't. The 1/4" TRS cable is signal is always "processed."

When the sensor output is "unprocessed," it can still be "processed" on the SB2 pedal itself, for example, your Manta. And that's what Roger and others recommend.

So two green lights means "X-axis" and "unprocessed." If you wanted to use a different axis, then look into the manual for which light combo is that axis but also "unprocessed." X-axis is "scratching a record," Y-axis is "wiping a window," and Z-axis is "patting a dog's head."

Hey all. I just wanted you to know that I'm still alive! Moving and getting a new job with a tech startup has consumed my life. But I'm still doing stuff! Dig this unfinished track from last night's studio session. Never before heard by human ears…

Dang man, I haven't seen you round here a long time! Good to see you're alive.

Very cool and funky!! Great track man. Very funky and crawly. Like button please.

Thanks! I'm going to ask the engineer if he can quantize that intro. I feel like I'm a little before the beat on some notes. But I'm happy with the overall feel so far. :)

Agreed, nice track!

I know the feeling of being overwhelmed all too well also. For me it started at Christmas when my parents were in town, and then from there it was work (averaging about 55 hours a week), multiple gigs every weekend and the rehearsals to go with them, and also moving to a new place. Things are finally starting to die down. Sheesh.

Very cool! Nice stuff. Don't know it's it's still ever been heard by human ears..... We are bassplayers here ya know.

That HH3 wants you to buy a Manta. Trust me, it really does!!!

The HH3 is WHY I bought a Manta!

The speed knob becomes the key control when in Hot Hand mode. Don't use the controls on HH3. Just stick to the Manta. If you can't find the old post, we can make a new one. JLMK

Just wanted to mention...

Thanks to you for being involved and available to us users! Points to Source Audio for coolness.

I've had the Dual-EP for a while, just got the reverb and modulator.
Now I'm looking at the Manta all creepy uncle like...
(sigh)... just let me check my bank account...

I gotta say it'd be cool if every SB2 pedal shipped with a 1.5' TRRS cable.
It's nice that the Dual-EP shipped with both TRS and TRRS cables, but one with every SB2 would be nice to.

Not complaining, just saying it'd be cool. :smug:
