A quick question about the Hot Hand; can you use the wireless Hot Hand adapter using just the BEF/MWBD, or do you have to buy the Wah Filter or any other effect to use the Hot Hand?

Hot Hand works great with the BEF. It also works with the MWBD, but it only controls the drive, so it is a bit less exciting. In my view, Hot Hand is at its best when it is controlling a filter. (note, that is just me. Others may differ on this)

Wheres the chilli? ;)

Sorry chilli! What have you got? I'll add you on.

No worries, I'm hidden in the depths of page 32 and forgot to ask for a number.

So far I've got,

BEF Pro
MWD Pro
Hot Hand
Dual Expression Pedal

I would have loved the MIDI EXP Controller but understand this will be out later in the year, even in the UK :hyper:

Seriously blown away by the way SA have thought out and built this equipment, thanks guys! With the Hot Hand I am the bass line, that control is out of this world.

hey all,
i'm very excited to be joining the world of source audio sorcery soon - i'm just waiting to hear back from a local dealer as they're getting in touch with SA. i've held off from the majority of the effects world because there just weren't the sounds that i was looking for out there (at least not in a reasonably accessible way), and then i found those SA videos and promptly went: :hyper::hyper::hyper:

i have a question about the daisy-chaining capabilities. i understand that you can use a SA 4-core cable to chain effects from one SA (pro, right?) pedal to the next, which is awesome. does the original input of that expression have to be the SA connection, or could it be TRS? i.e. could a chain look like this:

TRS expression ---> SA pro1 ---(via SA cable)---> SA pro2---(via SA cable)-->SB 'verb

or would it have to be:

SA hot hand/dual expression pedal --->SA pro1, etc. etc.

basically i'm trying to figure out what the best way to go would be for the expression pedal part of my set up.

thanks! can't wait to make some whacky tones with these things.

This thread can all ways use more pictures.
pedals002.gif

And yes .... those pedals are on a exercise step with velcro ... lol.
I use that in my rehearsal space (aka basement) because not every thing will fit on my gig / gator board. But I'm liking this combo (for now) so I guess it is time for a pedal train so I can keep them all together ... and use the exercise step for what it was meant for :D

soooooo.... i'm a lazy git about research sometimes. is the new Hot Hand interface box out yet? i would preeeeeferrrrr one of thems.

also, do you guys have a bundle with the Hot Hand receiver and a wireless Hot Hand? i would like a backup. so that would be BOSS.

First of all, we're glad that you've discovered our pedals!

As for your question about daisy chaining...The signals sent via our 1/8 inch daisy chain cables cannot be passed along anything but our 1/8 inch sensor output. The daisy chain cables are only for passing on Hot Hand and Dual Expression signal. Our pedals do not have TRS output.

ok, cool - does this mean in order to do that i would have to use a SA dual expression pedal as the original method of expression going in? in other words could i send a TRS expression IN, and then send it out to the rest of the chain via SA 1/8th inch cables?

Hey Will (or Roger), did Mike Gordon get an SB2 Reverb pedal for summer tour? Sounded like he was using some reverb on some slapping on Tweezer from the other night.

Also, if you've heard the Boogie On from third night Atlantic City, do you have any idea what settings he may be using if that's his BEF Pro? If you haven't heard it, I highly recommend it as one of the best things I've ever heard him play.

I spent 3 hours with the Phish crew in Atlantic City (Saturday show). He now has the Reverb for sure, but he also has a rack unit and uses that sometimes quite a bit (Eventide). I suspect it might have been the latter, but I am not sure.

The BEF Pro and the Meatball are his go-to envelope pedals. Not sure which he was using. They are both in his rig right now.

The Sat show was great. I was doing this: :hyper::D
