This. I called and spoke with Roger and Will last week about my BEF Pro. Nothing but nice and super helpful.

I ordered myself the MWBD Pro and a wireless hothand as well. I can;t wait to get all of this stuff to me so I can play!

We've been playing Burnin Down the House lately, and doing a little trading 4's in the solo section. I'm excited to see what fun stuff I can do with it.

Now that I read my response over again I know I was not being very clear. What I meant to say is, we do not have a Q-Tron in our office so we do not know what it sounds like. Perhaps some other TB folks with a BEF and a Q-Tron know more than we do?

Sorry about that! Still weary from NAMM!!

I'm using the Moog, which works well enough, but isn't exactly the pinnacle or reliability. The Source Audio Expression pedal should be available next month and I'm going to pick that up. It has the same pot value as the Moog and is a lot sturdier. Looks cooler too...;)

Straight from The Chid:

Looking at the Q-tron schematic, it can be seen to be a two pole filter, with selectable outputs of low pass, band pass, high pass, or peak (called MIX on the Q-tron) (= original plus band pass, frequency response will look like a mid range EQ set to boost, although with a much narrower peak than a typical EQ.)

Our best choice for the low pass would be Selector #2, with the Back Page Q adjusted to taste. (The Q-tron has an adjustable Q.) Best for their MIX position would be #13. We don’t have band pass or high pass, since they would lose the low frequencies, and this is, after all, a pedal for bass players.

The schematic shows a pretty vanilla circuit; I think we ought to be able to get close to the LP with #2. Our SPEED control should be on the instant attack side. MIX should be all the way wet for the LP, on the non-Lo-Retain side (if one wants to match the Q-tron).
