I knew it was launching on that day, but not when, so I didn't get up to see it.
I'm very anxious about the JWST. It's worse that waiting for a season premiere after a cliffhanger. We're weeks from knowing if only the first of like 6 processes is successful. I have a feeling though by spring we're getting some game changing data.fingers crossed indeed.
The Webb telescope is in it's critical sun shade depolyment phase. If this doesn't go well the the mission is a failure. So far so good but the next few days are critical. The website @StereoPlayer posted (Link Removed) is excellent for tracking Webb's progress. Thanks for that!

Found this article talking of a proposed alternative model for how the universe started. One thing it proposes is that black holes and still unexplained dark matter are the same.
Another cool thing is the James Webb telescope may be able to answer that.

Remembered about 10 minutes before launch. Then forgot all about it.
Frakkin' aging and too many drugs as a youth. One toke over the line, I suppose LOL.
The left/port wing of Webb's primary mirror is fully deployed and latched.
