There is some speculation among the commentariat over at ArsTechnica (where I ran across that in this week's "Rocket Report") that it could be an exercise in extremely dry German satire. But I suppose one would have to sign the petition and wait a while to find out for sure.

I'll just go on and throw this in here too. Someone in another thread needs to fly a bass internationally, so suggested a reusable, self-guided, autonomous-landing, cargo-capable, orbital rocket.
