Speaker cab company startups owned by TB'ers

For the record, we are a bass amplification start up company, not strictly cabinets. With a lilttle luck, we should be showing our amplifier at the 2010 NAMM show, with other electronic products planned and in the works. The first cabinets should be available in a few months.

You're very right about that! And I'm going to experiment with a few different methods to see if there is a way to speed the process up. If I find a way, then I'll be getting a hold of Zac and talk about things.

That's the problem, it can't really be mechanised. And even if it could be streamlined, it would still cost more to produce than the proverbial mass produced "wooden rectangle". The selling price would have to reflect that. It's kinda the same problem Bill Fitzmaurice has, which is why he's never delved into selling completed cabs.

It's a challenge and I believe Zac has a few ideas up his sleeve, but at this stage these cabs are more for the keen DIYer.

And I'm still quite baffled how it happened - I just wanted a better cab for me, and then once I'd sourced all the parts it made sense to build a few to cover my costs. But then more people wanted them, etc...

The irony is that I designed a cab to be the loudest and fattest for its weight as possible, to minimise the effort of load-ins, yet now I spend far more time than ever before moving heavy boxes!
