Speakon adapter advice

The speakon output on the rh450 is a combo speakon. You can use a speakon or 1/4 inch out.

Ooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. That's different.

If I'm not mistaken it shouldn't matter. It would be no different than touching the sleeve on a 1/4" speaker cable.

It would matter. You'd have to be careful not only about touching it, but also where you set it, or what might rest upon it.

Ii had a similar problem as the O.P. I run the RH 450 into the RS 210, but I also use an older 115 cab underneath that has no Speakon connector.
I bought the gadget that Munji suggested and it has worked flawlessly for me. Speakon into RS 210, then the connector out of the 210, using a 1/4 inch cable, into the 115.

If I may presume to add to Bob's post: Running an amp in bridge the metal of the phone plug is live with respect to ground. Thus if the metal plug comes in contact with anything at ground potential you can lose the second channel of your amp.

Secondly many of the new micro amps use two power amps that run in bridge permanently. The sleeve of the plug is never ground. That's why Bob made the comment he did about the metal splitter box.
