Special power chords for your amp improves sound?

Saw this on facebook went to their site and there is a whole clip of famous people who use this special power cable for your amp to improve sound. Has anybody used this? Is it true can you really notice a difference? Just wondering let me know

Wow $79 for a receptacle. Isolated ground only works if you have a separate ground wire ran back to the first bonding point and I have no idea what the benefits of a cryogenic treated receptacle are.

I bought a power cord from Mercury Magnetics and it cured some hissing problems I was having with my Markbass 121P and it didn't cost as much as what you're looking at.

No, YOU are getting it, they aren't. People by and large are easily fooled. This includes your idols, and mine. I'm willing to be fooled for money or free stuff. So are they.

According to many posts I read here at TB there is some huge benefit to vintage style cloth covered wiring from pickup to volume pot vs cheapo plastic covered wires. While I agree that cloth covered wire is nicer when you come back later to solder/desolder .. I don't believe there is any audible difference.

There are so many of these beliefs, audio cables etc.

I'm only a believer if the effect can be discerned in a proper double blind test.

i find a nice E major power chord makes my amp sound great

as for power cables, all that matters is if it's a big enough wire gauge to carry the current without getting hot. all too many are 18g even if they have thick insulation, so if you find a 16g or even a 14g cable then use it, confident in the knowledge that you've got the best-possible cable back there.

i like the idea of the mercury magnetics cable because they're honest about it, claiming no more for it than that it's as big as the wiring in the walls (14g); that plus being bright red (so it doesn't get lost so easily) and not charging so much for it makes it a pretty good idea in my book.

For 2 million I'll build you a studio (my spec, sorry) with super fairy power wire from the main substation transformer to your amp. Can't get a better deal on awesome wiring than that!

That...that is just amazing. I seriously need to work on my entrepreneurial skills and think of something like this. Like...twine. Audio enhancing twine. That you wrap around cables. For $100 a foot.

That's my idea and you can't have it!
