Specifications for Orange 1x15 cabinet?

Just not sure if it would be a bit too clashy to have an orange cab underneath a lime green head.

Is it me or do these orange cabs look EXACTLY like a TL606?

The reason I asked about the driver this cab uses is that I'm curious about just how this cab differs from the archetypal TL606, which my favorite example is the Diesel 115.

I have to say I was thinking the same thing. Proportions are about right, that port sure looks familiar, etc.....

Sorry for the delay in keeping up with this thread. A while ago I confirmed by email with Orange USA that they use Eminence Kappa speakers in the OBC115. This contradicts Tom's info though. Maybe they used both?

Mine was made in California, but I believe that Orange recently moved production to Kentucky. So they may be using a different driver, now, too.

Yes, I heard about Kentucky as well...but for some reason the recent (~past year) OBC115s sold by Humbucker Music have been from England.

Are you asking about where it was made? If so, it will say "Made in ____" on the jack plate.

It would be interesting to verify the tuning (port dimensions) of the Delta 15's vs the Kappa 15's....
Guess they'll just use the same box for both speakers .

Unless you have a rear-ported cab which allows you to peer inside and see the back of the magnet, pulling the driver is the only way I know to check for the brand/model.

Depends on where the jack plate is also ... sometimes you can remove the jack plate and shine a flashlight in there.

Sorry for the bump but I'm interested in this design and the speakers. So Tom's used a Delta-15A, and Jazzman's used a Kappa-15A? Or maybe a Kappa-15LFA? Thanks!
