Specs on G&L intonation screws?

Anyone know the specs on the screws G&L uses for intonation (the ones that screw into the bridge saddles--not the little ones to adjust action)?

Sometime, somewhere, somehow I lost one of those suckers and it appears to be a phillips drive fillister head screw. The local Ace Hardware had nothing of the kind, and looking around on line I'm having a tough time finding an adequate length (most seem to peter out at about 1" and I'd swear the one I measured was at least 1/4" longer, though I don't have it in front of me).
Sent an email to Chris at G&L, but thought I'd work a few different angles since I know he must be pretty swamped to be dealing with such a minor question.

Funny thing, I don't even know when I lost this thing because the saddle lock feature held everything like a rock. Probably been playing it for weeks that way.

I've used SS 8-32x1" phillps pan machine screws before. Had to turn down the outside edge of the head slightly to fit in the back of the saddle lock bridge, but wasn't a big deal. I lost one in just the same fashion; it just fell out and I noticed it was missing some weeks later. The saddle lock held the saddles locked together and they never moved. Leo was pretty smart

This is interesting. I've noted that the spring on my E-string screw does not exert any tension between the saddle and the bridge. Just sort of floats. This would seem to leave the screw without any tension to make it resistant to backing out of the bridge. The locking bridge would make it possible for it to drop out without me noticing.

Just something to keep an eye on, but it seems a curious thing for G&L to have missed in construction.

In case anyone is curious, I thought I'd post the results of my research.

The intonation screws used in G&L basses are fillister head, phillips drive screws. Not the easiest to find, apparently. The measurements are 8-32 x 1" (at least mine are all 1" in length--I've read elsewhere that G&L uses varying length screws depending on intonation needs, so YMMV).

McMaster-Carr appears to be the best place to pick these up without having to place a ridiculously expensive minimum order for freakin' screws:

I ordered stainless, although I think G&L just uses zinc coated screws. (Why is it that G&L can't even be bothered to use SS pickguard screws, fer cryeye? It's the only aspect of their design I think is cheap.)

I bought a new American made L2000. The intonation screw on the E string came out on a gig along with the spring. The spring was too short in the first place and I was trying go get another spring from G&L. I was pissed because my bass was like only a couple of months old. I also had a problem with the screw on the A string as it was also too short and fell out. I contacted Chris at G&L and he sent me a spring and 4 intonation screws 1 1/4" long. That did the trick and I have had no problems since then.
