No...there's several here. JPS is a GK user I believe. The rest of us...we've seen the light. :hiding::D

Another loud and proud GK user here. I like the sound I get, but my choices were made mostly for portability and cost. MB 500 head and MBX 410 didn't break the bank. the head fits in my gig bag, and the cab is pretty light.

I gotta admit though, I've loved the sound I've gotten every single time I've had the chance to play through an ampeg rig. If I was ever looking for another amp, I'd probably head in that direction.

what are you getting? did you already say?

Well I'm definitely buying used; they're having a huge sale on new and used gear. So I'm considering anything. I would like tubes. And I'm probably going to end up getting a 115 or 210 so my band doesn't end up hating me. :hiding:
I would love an SVT or something similar but that's probably too much money for me right now.

May I suggest the Streamliner 900...light and gets an actual tube sound....I like mine.:bassist:

How's this...

Debating selling my Rex and Silverburst euro4lx to help fund a USA and a fretless(not sure what model yet..)

Really? Wow, I didn't think you would ever part with either of them to be honest. Would the fretless be your backup or how would you swing that? I realize I am not a professional musician or anything but I thought you would have a backup during live shows in case anything were to go wrong but I could be totally wrong :)

If you do wind up selling though, my tax and bonus check will be coming soon so I might be able to help you fund that :D No pressure, just throwing it out there.

I'd really like to keep it if I could afford a USA without selling it... things just suck right now and I just need something new. otherwise I'd just hold off and save up a bit.

perhaps sell the Rex and save ;) then you can get a fretless and hold off on the usa for a little bit... of course we all know thats not how we roll in this club! :bassist:

I never did either. It's a long story but I'm not going to be doing any live shows in the next year.Nothing to do with the band.. In fact I really wish I was going to be playing. Very few things are better then that feeling. That bass was made with specs in mind to play what I did and I can't even look at it now that I'm not playing. It's at the bands rehearsal space in a case. Not even at my house..

And to be honest? I've never needed to use a back up with my Rex or Euro.

I could never see myself gigging the places I played with a USA. I won't be gigging anytime soon and I kinda just want a USA to feel good lol

The fretless is because I want get better at it since I have the down time
