I've gotta get used to the 35" scale. Not only does the nut feel a mile away, but the EADG strings feel a bit tighter than I'm used to. The B is amazing though. I haven't been able to put it down all evening!

I bought my Euro 5LX about 5 months ago, and I STILL can't put it down.

Let's talk about my new Spector instead! My first 35" scale 5 string! Got it with the original leather Spector bag too!

If I ever buy a USA Spector, it'll probably be a (natural )matte finish. Just because I like the smoothness of matte finishes. I know gloss finished are smooth, but they're also sorta sticky IMO. They also get fingerprints. I also don't like glossy necks, I like smooth necks. And I like character on basses, like a little thumb wear and maybe some arm wear. Especially if it my bass that I've only owned, it has MY character. That's awesome!!
It's just my opinion, though.

+1! As I can say with my Forte being my first matte finish I do love the smoothness especially on the neck. I look forward to the character markings! Not to take away from the high gloss finish by no means, the gloss really draws out and snaps the colors and grains. More maintenance though...

Welp, unfortunately due to low orders the spector I ordered will not be happening, oh well.

At least my NS20004 is awesome.

I tend to refer to the Spector B string as "the thunder." You are now going to be spoiled and it will be tough to hear another B string that sounds as good as a Spector.

+1 John! And if you ever find yourself not having a "B" string you'll definately miss it! I've even thought about forking out $300.00 for a Legend 5 Custom from GC to to fill that SAS...but I'll be patient. :scowl: "APRIL"!!!!!!!!!

I would have to agree... I've only played a few other 5 strings but I like the Rex 5 best..

Of all the 5r's I've had so far I'd have to say the NS-95 was my favorite by far!

Have you verified that thru Todd Cook or PJ Rubal yet? I think we need to get a verification on that.
Because I'd still like to get a Blue LE Forte if $$$ permits this spring. I just can't commit $$$ now.
