Hey thanks everyone for the kind words; it means a lot coming from professionals like yourselves!

@Lima I have a PreSonus AudioboxUSB and I use the supplied Studio One recording software. The drums and keyboards are VST instruments from the software. I would buy something more robust (ProTools or Cubase 5), but I don't think my laptop can supply the required processing power.

If you have a GC close by...I wish I did...here's a great deal! Oh...sorry PC guys.

Hey guys! I did my first "before" recording with my Legend 6 Classic and I wanted to share with yall. I'll be recording this track again when my upgrades are done. I'm still learning how to use recording software.....so...um...yeah, I didn't really EQ and my compression kung-fu is weak (i.e. you may wanna turn your speakers down lol). Try to enjoy lol!!!

(I appreciate any recording tips too, thx!!!)

What I think is awesome is that Microsoft owns a good bit of stock in Mac.

I prefer a good PC to a mac.

I just prefer Win 7 over OSX.

The best reason to use win 7.

If I ever buy a USA Spector, it'll probably be a (natural )matte finish. Just because I like the smoothness of matte finishes. I know gloss finished are smooth, but they're also sorta sticky IMO. They also get fingerprints. I also don't like glossy necks, I like smooth necks. And I like character on basses, like a little thumb wear and maybe some arm wear. Especially if it my bass that I've only owned, it has MY character. That's awesome!!
It's just my opinion, though.

The natural finish Spectors are my favorite. I like the contrast between the Maple neck-through wood and the wings. Congratulations on a beautiful bass. Enjoy it!

The pre cursor to the modern day legend series. I've never played one, but I've heard good things about them.

Congrats on it. It looks great!

The Spector Q basses are good, indeed! They are the pre-Legend series basses from Korea. They have fast action and good tone. They are different from the fully curved/carved bodies, but are still deserving of the Spector name.

I had one and it was excellent....actually tried to buy it back from the guy I sold it to.

I've gotta get used to the 35" scale. Not only does the nut feel a mile away, but the EADG strings feel a bit tighter than I'm used to. The B is amazing though. I haven't been able to put it down all evening!

I tend to refer to the Spector B string as "the thunder." You are now going to be spoiled and it will be tough to hear another B string that sounds as good as a Spector.

I would have to agree... I've only played a few other 5 strings but I like the Rex 5 best..

Thanks for the compliment! I plan on doing some clips to highlight each pickup for those who want to hear the differences.

I may have to check GC on the recording classes.....

I got to jam out with my new setup in my ns2a today. I am very impressed with both the SD pups and this mighty mite pre. I am going to use it tomorrow at practice and see how it does in a band setting. It has a nice growl and low end response.
