Lots of fuss. I just Mic my 810 with a beta 52. Gives all the growl, snort and low end I could want. Finally happy with the simple set up . Playing through a svt2p and a power amp. Just gotta watch how ya run the bass boost off the bass. Eating guitars in the mix for lunch he... he....

Yeah that was what were were finding currently. The bass boost on the bass comes in way lower than what you hear as "bass" In the mix. Run it at 0 or cut it if you need to. That has been working best on the Mic'd track. We ran a direct track but I didn't like the highs on it. We just Mic'd my svt with a beta 52. That was by far the best sounding mic we tried. Used an akg too but I didn't like the high end on it. Been hard to go easy on the guitars lol.
For me I had to keep the bass at 0 and focus on the tone of the mids and highs. It took a few tries, different mics etc. Found out string buzz was my friend lol, and to keep the bass very low. Not the best sounding but the Mic picks up things differently that we hear them. I try and steal a non mixed copy this thurs n post it .

Yeah, I figured as much. Just trying to avoid removing it to get to the back side so I can trace it out. Since it sounds like everything is installed and operating correctly, I think I'll just play it for a while and put the tools away.

Yeah that's the only way.
Wow that guy's really putting that performer through its paces. Not sure I'd pay for one new, as I only spent $350 on my NS20004 and its replacement parts, and it is Neck-through with contoured body plus the spector hardware. Sounds good though, those are passive right?

yup 100% passive... ya the new price tag is a bit much. But only when compared to other spectors and with the new 5 piece necks I think the $480-$500 price tag is reasonable.
Awesome! I love both the BADASS bridges on my early Spectors. It resonates like a champ and just makes the bass feel/sound better IMO.
